Glad Food Storage and Freezer 2 in 1 Zipper Bags - Gallon - 36 Count

I purchased these for two main things. 1-to let the meat of a freshly process deer rest a day or two in the fridge before packaging with my food saver sealer and 2- to do some freezer batch meal prep . What a mess!!! 50% or more of the bags I used leaked. The tops seal just fine but these tear on the sides and corners--and in some cases it's not immediate so you don't know until you wake up to a huge mess! My freezer was covered in sauce, broth, and juices from them leaking while freezing and my fridge was covered in deer BLOOD!!! while the meat was resting. Now when i defrost anything I froze in these bags I also need to make sure I defrost in another container so they don't leak on the counter. I'm not even going to try defrosting the microwave despite it saying microwave safe. The only thing these are good for is to use as a double bag for the quart sized Glad freezer bags I got that also leak! Very disappointed by a well known brand.

The biggest problem I had was, it took a while to realize that if you tried to open them too wide, they would split down the seam on the side, past the ziplocks, rendering the bag useless. With a modicum of care, it's no trouble at all. But it was enough, that it ever happened at all, for me to knock this back from 4 stars to 3.

I can a large portion of our harvest from the garden, but there are some things that I prefer to freeze, and these bags work wonderfully. They've held up, and the zipper stays tight, so we haven't had any problem with freezer burn. It's a good-sized box and the quality is comparable to others. We have a large family and a large garden to match, and this is the brand I usually go to. I go through a ton of these during the summer and early fall, and the price is a good value for the buck.

I felt just a little misled by the bags being labelled "zipper" as they are just another version of the press-and-seal type of bag. Personally I find this type harder to use but these bags are of reasonable quality and serve their purpose for storage bag use.The press-seal is a bit fiddly but once you get the two sides lined up they do seal very well. I use them mainly for general storage of foods, and also to store my pet's dry food in. The bags do come with a white strip that you can write on to label the contents.I didn't feel they performed as well as regular freezer bags. The plastic stuck to other items in my freezer which was annoying.Overall, a reasonable storage bag option if you don't mind the press-and-seal type of bag, but based on my experience I wouldn't recommend them for freezer storage.

I love this wrap for its strength and versatility. I use it to pack individual servings of meat for the freezer. It's easy to thaw just what you need. I also wrap fresh fruit & veggie leftovers (onion, cucumber, tomato, lemon, etc). Most keep a couple of days with the cut end wrapped, so less waste. I've even used it to wrap my arm after surgery so I could shower without wetting the sterile bandage. I seal the top of solo cups , pop in a straw for (almost) spill-proof drinks for the kids, too.

The price was right, but the defect made them useless for what I needed it for.I ordered 2 boxes and half of one box had a series of punctures across the bag and the other box is hit or miss with leakage issues. While I'm certain this is a defective product, buyer beware.Impossible for it to hold a liquid, like a marinade. I will have to repurpose these somehow.

Great freezer bags! I purchase economy, family size meats then separate to make up small portions and freeze. Can't be without these bags. I use them to keep my opened flour, sugar and other kitchen staples fresh.

These bags are really large and they have a "zipper" to keep food fresh. I have used them in the freezer, fridge, and for completely non-edible things and they don't tear or open. In the freezer, they protect from freezer burn. In the fridge, they keep food contained and do not leak. I use them also for storage reasons and they're heavy duty and have never ripped or punctured. I will buy these again.
