Enemy of The World, Another Gem Not Lost Now!
The Tardis lands in the 21st century and the Doctor, Jamie and Victoria are soon spotted and are attacked. the reason is because The Doctor strikes a massive resemblance to the ruthless Leader, a would be dictator intent on world domination at any cost called Salamander, and The Doctor gets embroiled in pretending to be him to fool those who work for him to get evidence for the good guys to bring him down.Patrick Troughton really shows of his acting chops here with having to go from one character The Doctor and then completely do a u-turn by looking and sounding different when he is Salamander. Now wonder he was able to do so many character parts before and after he left Doctor Who, only a great actor could of pulled of playing the whimsical no nonsense doctor, change image, accent and hey presto Salamander. All 6 episodes are here thanks to the painstaking work in tracking this story down and hard work to lovingly restore the episode to a better quality as seen in the documentary called Recovering the Past with Philip Morris who got this story back into the country so we could all watch it.Treasures Lost and Found sees Toby Haydoke going on some sort of quest by having to work out clues that see him talking to cast and crew and asking about their career and time on the show and we get insights that were never known before. There is a beautiful tribute documentary to the late Deborah Watling where her brother, sister and brother-in-law with Frazer Hines, Louise Jameson and other people who have worked with her talk about her life and what a prankster she was and how they will miss her and it really is moving to watch. We have commentary from Frazer Hines, with Mary Peach (Astrid), Milton Johns (Benik) Gordon Faith (Guard Captain) and Sylvia James who did the make-up artist. You have to get this in your collection as this was one that we thought was lost forever and it does not disappoint.

If you already have this don't bother
Thought there would be a cardboard slip case with this . There wasn't. That would have been the only difference between releases

The Two Troughtons
Super glad to own this and I don't wish to seem ungrateful, but i'm not a big fan of this story. I found this story to be just too thin for 6 parts, I know this is often the case with the older stories and I probably should have spread out watching it over several sittings, I did it in two. There are some good things about it, the obvious one being seeing Pat taking on two parts. With no monsters appearing it is something different as well.I also enjoyed seeing Bill Kerr of Hancock Half Hour fame.It looks like i'm in a minority of not being into this story, so bear that in mind. The extra of this story and The Web of Fear being found was interesting. It's a well done set and the presentation is excellent.Overall It ranks as a lower to mid story in the Troughton era for me.Thank you!

Wondering if it's worth buying a second time? Read on...
For anyone wondering if this is worth replacing their 2013 DVD, let's save you some time - Yes! Firstly, the episodes themselves have clearly received a lot of extra love and care and look significantly clearer than on the previous rush release. The addition of a commentary by surviving cast and crew (including Frazer Hines and Mary Peach) add a lot of info and behind the scenes anecdotes from the making of the story. Two of the new extras are particularly poignant. Remembering Deborah Watling is a lovely tribute to the recently passed cast member, with personal stories from family and friends about her life and and out of Doctor Who. The Toby Hadoke fronted centrepiece of the set 'Treasures Lost & Found' is, without a doubt, one of the most creative and best in all of the classic Doctor Who DVD range. There are lots of other bits and bobs on the double disc set. I can't say I feel cheated in any way having double-dipped for this re-release. It's a fantastic, thrilling story with Pat Troughton in fine form as both the Doctor and the evil dictator Salamander. Simply put, if you've ever been a fan of the classic episodes this will not disappoint. Classic Doctor Who - Enemy of the World Special Edition [DVD] [2018 ]

Doctor Who: The Enemy of the World SE
This is a very good Doctor Who story that was luckily found back in 2013 and released on DVD back then which was perfectly fine. They released the Special Edition earlier in March this year for a strange reason as they didn't change anything apart from special features. A little pointless but if you don't have the original DVD you should definitely get this. The story is very fun and James Bond styled and really good. The scenes on the beach are very good and funny. But there is quite a drag in Episode 3,4 and 5 but other than that this story is very good. Apart from the bore in the middle overall, the story is very good and Salamander is a fun villain. 8/10

Essential viewing for any Doctor Who fan.
As one of the few Doctor's I'd never had a chance to watch, this serial was high on my to-do list. Along with Tomb of the Cybermen and The War Games, I think I made a good choice: Enemy of the World is a fantastic story and succeeds in spite of the limitations of the time. Troughton excels in both roles and the serial doesn't feel over long, unlike many multi-part stories of that era: I was hooked and wanted to see what happened next!Essential viewing for every Doctor Who fan, with loads of great extras too. Highly recommended.
