Works really well for me
This shuts out, or at least pushes into the background, all the negative thoughts that keep me awake. It works more often than not but at the very least it relaxes me enough that I can function the next day. Some nights I listen to it four times, other nights I'm asleep less than half way through. Use it not only when first going to sleep but also the many times in the night I wake up. Don't know what I'd do without it!

Calming and relaxing.
I have a couple of her relaxation CDs and I find them most useful. A previous review has complained about the accent, purely on grounds of snobbery it seems to me. This is a very faint Lancashire accent which is not at all obtrusive and I find calming. It uses waves and being on a beach as part of the scenario so maybe not for you if you have a thing about the sea. For me it is extremely calming and helps me sleep. I have posted reviews about two others she has done, all positive.

It's good enough to get you off to sleep. However I made a mistake in buying this item. When I tried to return back the cd, I found the seller's not very helpful.

Marred (for me) by vocal delivery
Firstly, let me say that this is pure personal prejudice. When I am trying to get to sleep, the accent of the person doing the talking is extremely important to me, and I prefer a neutral English Received Pronunciation. Male or female doesn't matter; accent does. I found the accent of the female narrator jarring - kept trying to place it. North Midlands? Manchester? Whatever; I found it too distracting. If this doesn't worry you (though reviews of meditation tapes mention accent so often it must be important to a lot of people) then this has a lot going for it. Not for me, though; there's a reason most companies use professional actors to do voice-overs.
