MIKEDE 20 Pack Strong Neodymium Disc Magnets with Adhesive Backing Silver

I bought these for a project where I needed something thin enough to stay out of sight but strong enough to actually hold. Regular craft magnets weren’t cutting it, so I stepped up to these MIKEDE neodymium magnets. That solved the problem. They’re only about 3mm thick, which worked perfectly because I didn’t want a bulky magnet sticking out from the surface. Despite being so thin, the magnetic pull is impressive. Once these grab onto metal, you definitely know they’re there. The adhesive backing also saved me an extra step. I was able to position the magnets where I needed them without having to immediately reach for separate glue or mounting hardware. For DIY projects where I want the magnet hidden, that combination of a thin profile and adhesive backing is especially useful. You get six in the package, and after using the ones I originally needed, I’ve already found other projects around the house and garage where the extras will come in handy. Just be careful handling them. These aren't refrigerator souvenir magnets. They can snap together hard, and I make a point of sliding them apart rather than trying to pull them straight away from each other. For what I needed, they were thin, strong, easy to mount, and considerably more powerful than their size would suggest.

Do not let the tiny packaging fool you. These little neodymium discs mean serious business. Out of the box, they are packed tight with plastic separator spacers between each magnet. Do not toss those plastic spacers into the trash. If you slide two of these magnets together without a buffer, you will need a flathead screwdriver or fingernails of steel to pry them apart again. Build Quality & Magnetic Grip: The nickel finish is clean, smooth, and resists chipping during standard handling. The pull strength is immediate and stiff. Once mounted, they easily hold workshop tools, metal cabinet doors shut, or hanging hardware without creeping or sliding down metal uprights. The Manual Truth (Adhesive Setup Pro-Tip): The kit includes custom-cut circular double-sided adhesive pads. If you slap the tape on the magnet and hang heavy gear five minutes later, the magnet will hold, but the adhesive will peel right off your surface. 1. Clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol. 2. Stick one side of the adhesive to the silver disc and let it bond untouched for 48 hours. 3. Peel the backing, adhere the magnet to your final mounting surface, and let it rest another 24 hours before hanging weight or snapping metal to it. Give the glue time to cure completely. Once settled, the bond stays rock solid. He is smart water. Trust me take 3-4 days to do your install. Not 3-4 minutes or hours!

These are a bit larger than a quarter. Flat and well made. The adhesive actually sticks to both the magnet and the item you are trying to attach to the fridge. Works great.

The problem with these magnets is that the magnetism is much stronger than the adhesive. Even following the directions of normal 3M double sided tape. You want to clean perfectly the surface where the 3M tape goes and do not put any weight on it for at least 30 minutes. I'd say 1 day to be safe. Even doing this the adhesive did not hold. I put the magnets on an electrical power strip that I wanted to stick to the side of my tool box. Brand new clean power strip, I placed the magnets, and did not stick it to my tool box until the next day. Once placed the magnets are really strong. I plugged everything in to the power strip and all seemed good. Within a day or 2, the adhesive had failed and the power strip was on the floor. So i decided to use 3M Super weatherstrip & trim adhesive (3M 08008), in place of the included tape. I repeated the same process, letting the adhesive dry for a full day. That did the trick. 5 months later everything is still holding strong. The magnets are surprisingly strong for their small size (like a quarter). The glue was not.

Everything about these is super: super strong hold, super adhesive discs, super shiny and polished finish. I became disabled with arthritis so I had to retire early, but I still have a very active mind. Thus, I have a lot of hobbies to occupy me. Most of my hobbies are aimed at keeping my fingers and hands nimble and providing a creative outlet. I make jewelry, I work extensively in metals and wire, and I do a number of needlecrafts such as cross stitch and restoring damaged vintage and antique linens and embroideries. I'm constantly dropping needles, pieces of wire, scraps of metal, etc. I have a magnet I use to help me locate dropped needles and other bits. I certainly don't want my cat to step on something or injest something harmful. The magnet I've been using is very strong. I got it at a fabric store for stowing pins and needles, or tacking patterns to metal clipboards. These magnets are at least 5 times stronger. I like that I can easily attach a long string or cord to one using one of the provided super sticky discs and just sweep it around my work area. They easily find my lost items even if they've become embedded in carpeting. I also sweep one across my body when I'm making clothing alterations to make sure I didn't forget or miss any pins. Yikes! The only problem I have with them is getting them apart. Just when i have one pried away -- victory! -- the others will snatch it back. Grrr. I love them. There are truly a million uses for them. Top notch.

They are strong magnets but they break. One shattered into three pieces trying to dislodge from another one.

These coin sized magnets are perfect for 3 D printed badges. The magnet along with a metal plate on the back of the badge, allows the badge to be displayed on a shirt without poking a hole in the fabric. When not being worn to a rally, the badge can be placed on the refrigerator door for storage and display.

You have to be careful you dont pinch your fingers cause their so magnetic. I use them on laser engraver bed
