Being a side sleeper, I have struggled with pressure related ear soreness and pain for some considerable time, resulting in persistently disrupted sleep. Only recently, after some on-line research, did I realise that this was a recognised and not uncommon condition. [My GP had previously prescribed steroid cream which was pretty useless - obviously he didn't know anything about the condition either!]. A bit more research led me to a potential solution in the form of the PureComfort pillow; it seemed a bit of an investment, but the positive reviews of other users convinced me it was worth giving it a try. I'm so pleased that I did. I've been using the PureComfort pillow for several weeks now and have found it extremely comfortable and beneficial, both in terms of my ear soreness and overall sleep pattern. I feel well rested for the first time in a very long time. Having tried numerous cheaper pillows over the years without success, I only wish I had come across the PureComfort pillow sooner. Like a previous reviewer, I'm now a bit concerned how I will cope when I go away; maybe the pillow will have to come with me! Perhaps the company could think about developing a travel solution?

A few weeks ago at my left ear lobe I developed a very sharp pain, something like sleeping on a really hot nail, a good nights sleep became impossible. A visit to the hospital dermatologist established that I had "Chondrodermatitis nodularis", easier to spell than to pronounce! Along with the obligatory ointment and a 12 week return appointment I was advised to not sleep on my left ear, difficult because I have always slept on that side and I continued to have interrupted sleep.I came across this PureComfort pillow almost by accident, and I confess to being somewhat sceptical regarding the possibility of it being effective, but, the offer of 100 day satisfaction or return trial convinced me that I had nothing to lose, and I think I would had tried almost anything by that time.The pillow arrived and from day one the relief was magnificent and sound comfortable sleep returned, I can't recommend it too highly There are two "inserts" to enable height adjustment if required, I used one. The pillow is not a conventional size, or shape, and I held off buying an additional case pending ensuring it would be effective, two days later I ordered a spare case.So impressed has my wife been regarding it's effectiveness for me that she has ordered one for herself from the standard styles on purecomfort.com (the USA web site) The style was not in stock in Amazon, however, once more the back-up support has been superb and following emails to Gina we are now informed UK stock is available. In my experience you can buy with confidence that a good nights sleep is on the way. Thank you Gina, and to all at PureComfort. (Bye the way - the pillow won't be coming back.)

A good pillow for side-sleepers with sore ears. The pillow case, necessarily, is a custom item and I do miss proper cotton pillowcases. There’s also no turning over to get the cool side. But the cutouts are good for those sore ears!

This was the first pillow I have bought for ear pain, I don't have a specific condition that would require me to have really bad pressure in the ears while sleeping (other than my own thought that my head must weigh too much for my ears to cope with 😂) but I am so glad I bought it.My husband had a good laugh at me as it does look a bit funny and I guess he felt it was something that older folks might have (I'm 28!) but we call it my "luggy pillow" and it has become somewhat a bit of a "security blanket", so much so that I actually pack this pillow in my case now if I go away even for one night (fits in good too due to the softness of the foam) as I'm now so used to not having ear pain that when I have to use any other pillow, I know I'm going to wake up in agony!Took me a few weeks to get the right height but seem to have that figured out now. I can also use it no problems sleeping on my back which I wasn't sure I would be able to do and it's actually comfier than my normal pillows I have on the bed.The communication was great, I had several emails following up on whether it was suited to me, and got offered a spare pillowcase which of course is great, and even got a follow up when I mentioned that I was having an adjustment period in getting the height right. Never actually received customer service like it before, and for the first time felt like a business actually cared about what they were selling, and found this impressive especially when buying off the Internet. Some companies could learn a thing or two from their service. Well done and keep it up!I would definitely buy again. Very comfortable luggy pillow and worth the price.

The item is described as machine washable, but has completely fallen apart after 1 wash. So, it's useless.

This item is ridiculously overpriced, but very comfortable. I bought it because I'm a side sleeper who needs a firmer pillow for neck support, but firm pillows cause a lot of pain in my ears, so the holes in this pillow are positioned perfectly for me. I couldn't find anything else with a similar design.The pillow itself is very soft and squishy, yet supportive, with a memory foam -like quality that is much nicer than other memory foam pillows I've tried. I've used it for six months and haven't noticed any deforming.If you need to relieve ear pain and can afford to invest in this, get it.+ Comfortable+ Good support+ Holes positioned well+ Removable cover is very soft+ Works for side and back sleeping- Very expensive- Shape at the bottom is a bit strange and squishes the bottom half of your face a bit - it's not possible to move closer to the edge without moving your ear away from the hole; turning the pillow upside-down makes the holes too high

Advertised as a sidesleeper pillow preventing wrinkles which it clearly does not. Comfortable enough to sleep on though.

I thought the ear holes were a gimmick but wow, they make a difference!I am a side sleeper but toss and turn a lot. This pillow has been easy to adjust while I move. It's small and I'm used to King pillows so I do wish it was wider but it seems to hold up well though I've not had it long.My neck pain and TMJ is less noticeable!

Helps quite a bit with the ear pain.Have been using it only 2 weeks approx. so far so good.
