I am a full-time content, creator and videographer and have owned pretty much every wireless mic system that has come out in the last five years. the problem I was trying to solve is finding one that was reliable enough and had a battery life long enough to shoot all day. I also found other options too heavy as I often clip mics onto my T-shirt. When I found the Hollyland Lark M2s I was attracted to them because of the magnetic mount and the size of the mic. It was small enough not to pull and tug on my T-shirt and allow me to inconspicuously place it on anything I'm wearing. Here's why it has become my go-to mic for daily video content creation.Mic Size & Mic MountAt about half the size of other wireless mic systems. I am shocked at how good the audio is compared to the size of this mic. The receiver was almost, and with the magnetic clasp can be stuck on any style of shirt, or even the bill of a hat. I love the fact that they also have stickers that you can put over the logo so the simply looks like a black circle. My favorite mic design ever.Always ConnectsWith other mics, I felt like I was always checking to see if audio was recording diligently before the beginning of shoot. With these, I rarely do that because they always connect and always begin recording without any issues.Phone ConnectorI do most of my shooting on my Sony A7iv I do occasionally pick up my iPhone to record bits and pieces. The USB-C and iPhone connectors make a huge difference. They connect seamlessly and I don't ever have to worry if audio is being captured or not. That's really the theme of these mics. They connect without any issues and always work without fail.Battery LifeEven though I use it every day, it feels like I only need to charge this mic once a month. I have to remind myself to charge it up before I go out on important shoots because I'm not used to needing to charge. Also since I typically only use one mic, since this system has two I always have a back up that I can connect if my main mic dies.Carrying/Charging CaseI love how small the carrying and charging case is. Smaller than even the DJI mic systems I have owned. this makes it easy to throw in my camera bag and even easier to get out and use. It's barely bigger than my AirPods case.SummaryIf you are a content creator, then this is absolutely the best wireless mic option that I have found. For the price, it's truly unbeatable. In professional settings, people are blown away at the size and performance. This will be my mic of choice until something revolutionary comes along and knocks it off the throne. But whatever that is, it must truly be revolutionary. That's how much I love these mics.

The Hollyland Lark M2 is an awesome wireless mic. I use it at my business for content videos and mic'd up videos. I did a ton of research beforehand (looking at others like the Rode Wireless & DJI Mic 2) and these is more budget friendly with great sound quality.Pros: Budget friendly compared to other brands, easy to use, comes with a portable charging case for the receiver and two mics. Comes with stickers to put on the mics so they look more discrete.Cons: I wish there was a store or charging case for the phone receivers (usb C and usb). I have an iPhone 15 Pro and with my slim otterbox case, I couldn't fit the usb c receiver into my phone with the case on.The noise cancellation distorts the voice slightly, but almost completely cancels out all outside noise. Highly recommend.

Admittedly this is my very first set of any type of external microphone for my iPhone. I did some research online and came across these, and I’m so glad I did! They arrived quickly with all the correct accessories and fully charged. I absolutely love that these come with stickers to help conceal the mics - The first thing I did was use the black stickers to cover up the logo. These are so small and easy to attach, and not at all noticeable.The receiver is plug and play with no set up needed on the phone itself. As soon as you plug in the receiver and turn on one of the mics, you have your sound through the mic for your videos. The noise cancellation seems to do a good job and filters out a lot of that static you get when recording with the phone’s onboard microphone. Even without the noise cancellation feature on, you can hear a major improvement over the phone by itself. I was able to completely conceal the microphone on the inside of a thin shirt with no issues at all and no degradation of the sound quality.Note that you do NOT have to buy the combo pack unless you plan on using these for more than one type of device such as a camera AND a phone or older iPhone AND Android, etc. I also verified that these do work with a converter (like type C female to lightning male), but it has to be one of the ones that specifies it’s for lavalier microphones. Since I know I’m upgrading my iPhone in a week but wanted to use this for a trip sooner, I just purchased the type C variant and bought a $6 converter rather than one of the much more expensive combo packs. It works without any issues.I’m only using these for personal purposes so I’m sure there’s higher quality stuff out there you are doing professional videos. But for the price, these are absolutely worth it as a casual user. There is a noticeable improvement in sound quality and reduction of ambient noise when using these devices versus just your iPhone.
