I was skeptical that it will be this good knowing this product didn't build its rating yet. So I decided to buy another one. When it arrived in cheap wrapping I was surprised to see well made product, solid thick paper, layed flat on table no matter what page it is on. I tried drawing with pencil, it was good, even my rubber was erasing better than on a regular piece of paper. It definetely great addition to my ideas. I might buy more, since finding this good stuff becoming rare nowadays. I like it so far, thanks!

The paper is so thick and yummy! I have the hardest time looking for watercolor sketchbooks...I don't think they exist with a huge number of pages and wonderfully sumptuous 100% cotton paper. I see so many people on YouTube using Moleskines and I just hate the paper for water color so much. (Could us user error.)However, I do enjoy using this book. It takes paint well, as well as Inktense pencils. I didn't totally love Neocolor ii on my test page, though. The cover is hard and sturdy. Depending on your standards, maybe it's a tad bulky? The cover is pre-pictured, but if you live in US where stickers are everywhere now, you can easily sticker over the painting on the cover. I only wish it came in an 8x12" version. :)

Love the quality of the book and the price point. Will definitely purchase again!

I want to start my review by saying that I’m not affiliated with the brand or anyone who works there. I usually don’t start my reviews this way, but my commentary on the sketchbook is very positive - and I’m skeptical of super positive reviews.Getting that out of the way, I feel like I found a hidden gem with this sketchbook. I got it (with skepticism) because of the high GSM count, and it will be my go-to wet media sketchbook.ProsThe paper has the texture you would expect with cold-pressed paper, and it can take a LOT of water with very little warping. I’ve avoided watercolor / gouache for some time because I’m heavy-handed with water, and not many papers act right for me without breaking the bank. This sketchbook is one of the best I’ve tried as far as taking a lot of water / layers.The lay flat binding works, and I’ll be able to make paintings across both pages. I haven’t had it long enough to know whether the binding of the book as a whole will hold up with extended use, but the construction seems good.ConsThe pages have rounded edges, so if I want to cut out a page and hang it up, I’d need to handle the rounded edges somehow. Maybe I’ll make sure my tape border will let me cut off the rounded edge, but that will leave a thinner border around my paintings. This con doesn’t bother me too much since I’m just happy to have found a sketchbook where I can explore wet media without getting frustrated.

This sketch book is so pretty I am afraid to use it! This is a great buy!!!!
