The doorstop alarm is extremely loud. It would definitely scare off an intruder, but I don't think it's necessary to be that loud to do the job. At two hotels, their deadbolts were larger than the openings in the door lock, so I couldn't use them.

I like that I can use it on any door it fits on. It holds very well and secure in place. This is quality product.

Well I guess this red door jam lock works, we got locked inside our house testing it out. We had to take the door off it's hinges in order to get the device off our doorknob mount (thingy). Quite a fiasco. Be embarrassing if we were locked inside a hotel room. Not returning item, as the doorstop alarm wedge is good. But this red doorlock contraption is a liability issue waiting to happen.
