Ordered this wrap while holding my breath. And when it arrived few days later, I exhaled: it's what I hoped for: soft, good weight- can be folded over length-wise for extra warmth. As a 71 yr old man I long ago learned the dangers of picking clothing for a woman, especially one I didn't know that well. I hit a home run with this cashmere wrap that I bought for my new future daughter in law. It arrived promptly and is of the highest quality and super soft. It was my first Christmas gift to her and she loved it.

As far as wraps go, this is a very good one. It is a not too long, not too short length that allows me to drape over my shoulders, cross over my chest and flip over the opposite shoulder with a nice tail. The cashmere is soft. It is knitted, but with a fine weave. I would call it medium weight so it is not hot, but keeps my shoulders warm on cool mornings. It would be perfect for travel as it folds nicely, doesn't wrinkle and would slip into most purses without taking up too much room. I've have the red one for over a year and have had only minor pilling, hardly any at all.It's a little decadent, but on cool nights, I sleep in it over my pj's. It keeps my neck nice and warm without the need to adding so much weight from extra blankets. The same applies for too cool hotel rooms while on the road.

I debated whether or not to keep this shawl as it was a bit more casual looking than I expected it to be. I wanted to wear it at a wedding (with a long dress) if it got chilly in the evening. I ended up needing it and decided it did the job - it kept me warm, the cashmere was soft and light (not scratchy), and it looked better than anything else I could have worn. Now, I have a lovely warm shawl that I can wear whenever I need it -- I expect it will be packed to take along on most if not all future trips.

It’s a very warm shawl but it’s def not cashmere from Kashmir. Those are very light and can be bundled into a ball and the warmth you get is amazing. This one is heavier and def does the job to keep you warm but is fuzzier/hairy. Maybe diff types of wool? Maybe it’s the regions fromWhere they are coming from-it’s super soft regardless.

This item was purchased for my daughter-in-law as a birthday gift. It will be given to her in 2 weeks. I’m sure she will love it since her husband knew what she wanted.

Was a gift to fellow in-law ... Nice light soft pastel green color. It was longer than store choices which is what I was seeking. Interestingly She gave me cashmere as well.
