Stellar IEM, definitely punches above its weight. Blind buy certified
First and foremost let me start by saying sound quality is superb for this price point. Treble isnt sharp but still manages to extract great detail. Mids are a bit recessed but nothing to truly complain about, id consider this part a bit recessed Bass section is clean and clear. Lacks a bit of punxh however this is perfect for me as these are geared towards audiophiles like myself. Build Quality is solid! Comfort is good enough for my ears. Must play with plugs to ensure properfitment and sound quality. Design is good Fit is good. The one gripe i have is the cable that come with looks decent (I got the DSP usb type c with mic version which i am truly enjoy for this price) however the ear part doesnt truly flex to stay in place BUT its a small sacrifice that i think anyone should take on these. Mic quality is good, not complaining. Overall I love these , blind buy IMO. You wont be dissapointed.

Excellent sound quality. Make sure your EQ is set up and pick the right silicone tips.
My guess is at least some of the reviewers who are not happy with the sound quality don't realize one or both of these things: Your music app will likely assign a default flat audio profile the first time these are connected. If you're using an Android device and use YT Music for instance, the equalizer will be flat. All you need to do is go into settings - equalizer - and pick a default ("dynamic" will get you pretty close) and then customize to your liking. Being wired IEMs, the signal is lossless and they sound incredible- regardless of the price. Also it is very important to use the silicone tip size that will seal in your ear properly. Bass response depends on this. Don't just pick the medium tips and assume those are the right ones for you. They may not be and without a proper fit the sound quality will suffer. These feel very high quality and the performance is impressive. Immersive, crisp quality and full, deep and punchy bass. Detailing of sound you don't typically get with wireless buds. Massive upgrade in audio quality over Bluetooth buds. Even high end BT buds have nothing on these, but that's likely true for all wired IEMs. For the price I doubt you'll be disappointed in these. Just remember the above points. Check your EQ settings and make sure your ear tips are sealing. Great product.

I enjoyed these IEMs but returned them
I'm a fan of Moondrop and have a few other of their IEMs. I wanted to try the Chu II with the DSP cable in my office and lab so that I wouldn't need to worry about ruining them due to their low price. They're comfortable, the cable is well-built, the IEM build quality is top notch (not even looking at the price), there are more than enough ear tips to find your best fit, and the sound quality is great. The sound fits within Moondrop's target curve, which is modified from the Harmon curve. Bass is ample but not overbearing, the mids are present, and the highs are highlighted without being harsh. These are pleasant to listen to. However, you cannot adjust the EQ of the DSP cable unless you sideload an Android app. Moondrop has not officially released version 2 of their app, the APK is only available on their website. I have an iPhone so I'm out of luck. I'm not sure what's the point of the DSP cable other than having a digital connection to my iPhone. That's fine, but not being able to EQ the DSP is a bummer. Moondrop has not specified when they're releasing v2 of their app on the iOS App Store. If you're fine not EQ'ing these or have an Android phone and are comfortable sideloading an app, these are a great entry-level IEM. I've used others from KZ that just have bloated bass and piercing highs all in plastic shells. Sure, those have at least 1 DD and 1 BA, but that doesn't mean anything and having multiple drivers is not always indicative of higher quality audio. I returned mine because I can't EQ them, I'm missing half of the advertised features. Otherwise I wouldn't have any issue with them.

Lovely pair with amazing sound quality
I am not an "audiophile" and from multiple tests, I realize that I am unable to tell much of a difference between high fidelity and normal SD audio. But, I will say that compared to many earphones/earbuds I have used, the Moondrop CHU II feels life changing at first. That might be an exaggeration, I guess it's hard to describe, but the sound from these is so crisp, and not muffled/have weird eq artifacts at all! The audio quality is SO good, and for 20 bucks I could not be any happier with my purchase. having USB C here is so nice as well, I don't need a USB to audio jack converter anymore. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great while they lasted
Lasted about 2 months and then the left earbud sound was noticeably quieter than the right one, to the point that it was distracting. Thought it was the cord that died so I ordered replacement cable, but it's the IEM itself that it the issue. Sounded great, especially for the price point. I really liked the convenience of the the usb-c cable, the inline microphone and not having to worry about carrying a separate DAC. However, while I'm used to headphones dying after 2-3months I really can't justify I repurchase if they're only going to last that long.
