Renshaw Rainbow Dust Metallic Silver Food Paint, 0.88 oz

For my sons 16th birthday, he asked me to make him a "knife cake", using brownies. I accepted the challenge and purchased this product to make the blade and screws of the knife. This was my first time ever making anything like this. The product was easy to use and didn't take away from the brownie at all. It looked great and everyone loved it.

The color is spectacular and it works well on fondant. The taste however is disappointing. I added a lot of powdered sugar to my project once the paint dried to add a sweeter taste

Loved how vibrant the color was! I needed it to add to a cake and it was so bright even on darker colors! I'll definitely be using again for other goodies!

I like how it drys fast but you do have to do some coats to get the color just right . Other than that it’s WONDERFUL

A little goes a very long way. Able to paint the top of a 10in round with only 1/4 of container. I did do 3 thin coats with drying time between. It goes on with streaks this is why I put in extra coats. If I would have been patient and given it a day to set I probably would not of had to do so. If you want a white silver use white fondant but if you want more of a gun metal then use a gray fondant underneath.

Used this to paint the metallic piece on a fondant stethoscope for a doctor cake for my brother. The cake was a hit and it really made it pop!

It was the perfect finishing touch for my cookies, but you can only use the tiniest amount it it tastes horrible. Good to add a small shimmer or a tiny design but not to majorly decorate with.
