Works like a champ.

I use this burner to melt Babbitt bearing material. I have been using an old stove that ran on white gas that took forever to melt the Babbitt and flames shot all over the place. This burner burns hotter and with a clean controlled blue flame. It took a minute or two to figure out the best relationship between the propane pressure and the adjustable air valve, but once you get it set it burns nicely. I can recommend this burner but I'm not so sure yet about the 30 psi regulator and hose they recommend to go with it. The second time I used it, the regulator stuck closed. Hasn't done that since but I haven't used it a lot.

I bought this to use for my boil kettle on my homebrew system. Despite the manufacturer's claim that this burner won't work with natural gas (NG), I can confirm it works. The catch is you must replace the manufacturer's original orifice with one that's designed for NG. I use a 1/4" NPT Hurricane Natural Gas Conversion Valve on my setup This conversation valve includes an orifice sized for NG and completely replaces the manufacturer's original orifice. I brew in my garage and I've tested this burner using a carbon monoxide (CO) detector and it never reached a detectable level. The BTUs are lower when used with NG, but that's due to the fact the an equal volume of NG contains less energy than the same volume of propane. In my test boil, I was able to bring 7 gallons of water from 62F to boiling in just over 30 minutes while running the Hurricane valve about 4/5 open.

Recently built a 14 gallon fryer and purchased two of these , after testing and frying 21 leg quarters I found that only one burner was necessary

I have been building and selling brew stands for homebrew beer enthusiasts on Etsy for several years. Each brewstand uses two banjo burners. Until now I have used the Bayou Classics BG14 but since the price increase I decided to check out other products. This Cookcamp burner is actually better than the BC units. Firstly the mounting holes are cleanly tapped and uniform in depth. The BC units vary in depth and sometimes not threaded cleanly. Next. the Cookcamp burner comes with the baffle and orifice installed. The BC units come with these parts in a bag and they are occasionally damaged due to poor packaging of the burner (just thrown in the box). The threads for the orifice on the Cookcamp are also cleanly tapped... not always with the BC's. Lastly the packaging on the Cookcamp is vastly better with some internal support in the box.

Very high power! you need a regulator capable of delivering the volume needed. Holy cow, can it deliver the BTUs! Think wok or fish fry size.
