Fantastic purchase
This is my second purchase of this jacket. Fantastic buy. The material is top notch and you have options to take out the liner or remove the padding as needed. It comes with vents in the chest and arms for those warmer days. Plenty of pockets inside and out. Adjustable straps for fitment. All around a great value and I would recommend this jacket to everyone. I’m 5’8 and 140lbs. A small fits perfect.

Very Good, not perfect
Firstly, I really, really like this jacket and can't believe how it can sell at this low price.Now,1. These are quite large for the listed size, I usually need an XL, though I have lost about 40 lbs since last fall. I ordered a L based on the measurement chart. I really seemed to measure as a M but wouldn't dare take that chance & have to return it. If I wanted a nice form fitting jacket, I think the medium would have fit but left no room for adding extra under layers in colder weather. As is, the L leaves room for a good bit of layering, a thick fleece jacket, an Aerostich heated vest, one of several non-heated vests I have, etc.. That would be with the zip out liner included. I believe I can use this jacket with the extras down to about freezing on a bare naked Royal Enfield 350 Classic so good bang for the buck.2. As to the zip out liner, thin but kept me warm for 30 min of riding mostly 50-55 mph. Under the jacket I wore a t shirt and thinnish sweat shirt. Felt I could have stayed out for an hour or more with no problem.3. Zip out liner issues. I had it removed for a few rides due to temps in the low 70s with the vents fully opened BUT when I attempted to re-zip it found the quality of the zipper was not too good. I spen nearly 10 minutes just trying to get the zipper started. The male part of the zipper kept coming out of position, the teeth had trouble lining up to start and I thought I might have to return it. I finally got the zipper to close but am hesitant about removing the liner again. I do have a permeable mesh jacket that I can use in warmer temps but I had hoped to extend the Nomad up into warmer temps by removing the liner. I like the jacket too much to bother with return as I have 4 jackets that cover me down to well below freezing temps if I care to ride in such weather.4. The neck does not close tightly enough to prevent cooling air from entering the top of the jacket. Maybe a scarf can be used.5. The cuffs on the sleeves do not have enough of the "soft" velcro to allow the cuffs to be snugged. I will just add some more of the Velcro to get a snug fit.6. I am not sure how much abrasion protection is offered in this jacket. I'd love it if the material was Cordura weave but I do not plan to road test how quickly it shreds. Will leave that to others.7. I will likely replace the shoulder and elbow pads with CE Level 2 at some point for more protection. Might do same with back armor. I come from the school of thought that says the more protection you have, the less likely you will ever use it. My last slide down the road was in 1977 and ever since have been a master of the upright and spent a fortune on safety and never relax my guard on the road.8. Did I say I really love this jacket? It looks like it costs 2-3 times as much, I do feel more secure than in my First Gear Mesh jacket, though nothing beats my Aerostich Darien which I've worn for nearly 20 years. It feels both light and protective at the same time, looks great, packets I'm still discovering, and it has panache.Well worth your money if if you don't have a grand to drop on a Darien with the works. So I give it 5 stars with caveats. After a few weeks & several rides I like the jacket even more. Went out this morning at 46 deg F and with minimal extra clothing was warm as toast. For me I can see getting into the mid thirties before I would need my heated vest. Looks cool to boot. I don't ride in the rain so I don't need waterproof. The light quilted liner is surprisingly warm.

Reasonably Priced Moto Riding Jacket for Fall
Love the amount of pockets firstly. There are four in front, one on the sleeve and one vertical near the chest vents, as well as a pocket inside desugnated to keep your phone safe. There are several vents on the jacket including two front facing. While riding I definitely noticed air flowing in through those two as well as the two on the inside of the elbows. There is a removable liner as well which is great when you don't know if the weather is going to shift or if you're changing elevation on a ride. Love the reflective strips and the ability to cinch the jacket up with the straps around the waist and arms. I'm also a big fan of the style of the jacket. There are pads along the back, shoulders and elbows. The pads are soft foam so I'm not sure how well they'd hold up in case of a slide but they offer more protection than no pads that's for certain. The sizing runs a little big. I'm a medium, ordered a medium and it seemed to fit reasonably on my friend who wears a large. The sleeves are right on the border of being too long for me but otherwise the jacket fits well. I'm still trying to adjust to the feeling of having pads but it feels good while I ride and keeps me warm as we carry into winter. The one thing that worries me a little is the Nomad label in the front. I know it's just a company label but as someone who rides I definitely am happy that my hair covers it up most of the time. I definitely don't want to have a negative encounter with an offended MC. There is an extra zipper attached in the back for a spare. That zipper as well as a button clip around the skirt of the jacket seem oddly places but don't negatively impact the feel or fit of the jacket. A good jacket for the price, I can see it lasting me for quite a while.

Fantastic value, couldn't be happier.
Just got this today and I am very impressed. Very sturdy, well thought out, fits perfectly and is aggressively good looking. The armor seems as good as any I have seen. The thermal liner is excellent, even without the liner the coat is quite heavy and warm, the elbows are really well protected with 2 overlayers of durable fabric over the armor. Every possible useful pocket feature is included plus venting at the shoulders and back.I don't understand why they call it off road, it's a perfect touring or commuter jacket whether off road or on. At any rate it pairs perfectly with my big black R1100 GS. I am 5'9" 168lbs, athletic trim with slight belly, the medium fits perfectly with the waist cranked in a bit. The throat seals tight but comfortable, my one nitpick would be there should be a keeper piece of velcro inside the collar to fasten the throat flap down when you don't want it latched across the throat. But it's easy enough to add one.Fantastic value, couldn't be happier. I looked at a lot of touring jackets, you can pay 3 or 4 times this much but you will not get a better jacket. If I had paid 3 times as much I would still be happy but at this price it feels like I hit the jackpot.
