We have a grand piano in the entry room of our home, and I wanted the ability to record it from my basement home studio. The Wallcat was the perfect solution. I installed one (female) panel near the piano, and the other near to my studio setup, connected via a 35’ shielded cat6 cable. Running the cable took a little DIY electrical work (drilling a hole behind sheet rock and thru flooring to run cable, cutting out drywall for panels, etc), but once all was said and done, it looked and sounded great. Mic and headphone signals (via 1/4” to XLR adapter) come through perfectly. I can’t wait to start recording!

Best upgrade to my studio for the money. Combined 3 Wall Cat flush mounted wall plates with 3 Ward-Beck SystemsQTP-30-2-P 30' QTP Cable with 2' Tail - 1 x RJ45 to 4 x TRS Phone Connectors, to replace an 8 channel snake that was surfaced mounted. No Wiring necessary. Just plugged into the patch bay. Worked so well I duplicated it in the drum room.

Excellent workmanship and though we haven't used it for long the connections all seem to be tight and durable. Looks, feels, and sounds like quality.

I tried 5 different cables . Shielded STP and the Wall plates still don’t work.,, tried in/out to in/out , parallel to parallel and every other combination...very disappointing...had high hopes for this setup
