How can I wash this puppet? The fur sheds a lot, but I am afraid laundry machine will ruin it

All of our puppets, including this 14" Orange Monster, Hand Puppet should be surface washed only. You can use baby wipes for both the outside and inside of the mouth. Please do not submerge the puppets in water as this will distort and damage the inside structure. ~ Silly Puppets

Can the shedding be stopped some how ?? Want to get this for my 18month old granddaughter, but not if it sheds like people are saying !!

As babies and toddlers tend to put everything in their mouths, we wouldn't recommend giving them a material with a long 'pile'. You may want to consider one of our other adorable puppets such as the Silly Bear, Fireman Dalmatian or Mouse. You can see them in our Amazon store, link below: https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/21916551-6BD0-4263-B6B6-13BEE9B43577?ingress=3&visitId=d2abcd33-7c3f-42e6-9050-387706d2e8c8 ~ Silly Puppets

Is this puppet any good for vantrilique?

No, sorry this puppet is too small. You might want to try the 30" size. Thank-you.

Does the mouth open and close?

Yes the mouth can move with your fingers.
