Good for small patches
Works great for my small patch of grass, but not if the grass gets too tall.

Does fine, squeaky after a few uses. Handle pretty flimsy.
I have about 250 sq ft of grass, so I thought why not buy a manual push mower vs a powered one. After a summer of use here are my observations:* Handle is flimsy, and you feel a lot of flex when turning the mower. Doesn't affect usability* I live in a mountain desert climate, so there is very little moisture in the air--still after a few uses the reel is squeaky and LOUD when getting started. This is a big disappointment* Since this is a manual push, there is no "upward suction" from a rotating blade. This means that the wheels will flatten some of the blades of grass, and then even as you overlap and go back over, those blades just do not get cut. This is a bigger problem if you let the grass blades grow longThat's it. I wish I sprung for a powered mower, but I will say that the storage space this requires is very small, which is what attracted me to it.

Awesome!
In response to some of the more negative reviews, this mower does exactly what it is supposed to. Keep in mind...this is your grandpa's mower and he put a motor on it for a reason. I bought this because 1.. it doesn't need gas. 2.. my neighbor works 3rd shift and this is quiet. 3.. my 12 yr old can use it. It does have a problem cutting dandelions but I found a solution....I bent over, grasped the stem with one hand and pulled. Problem solved. Also, it mowed my yard in the same amount of time as my power mower. I highly recommend buying it!

A Fatal Flaw
I actually like the tool and would have given a 5 star rating if not for one design flaw, "The Handle!" will break leaving you to jury rig a repair. The handle comes in sections which are held together by a Thumb nut and bolt, the hole through which the bolt passes creates a significant weak point and after just an hour of use metal fatigue set in and I could feel the metal weakening, I put straps around the handle above and below the bolt but it broke never the less and I needed to drill holes above and below to make the handle one piece. Buyer be ware. I am removing one of the two stars I originally gave as a second fatal flaw has shown up. The wheels are held on by a nut and bolt assembly and no where does the instructions warn you that if you fail to routinely inspect the nuts, they "WIIL" loosen and fall of somewhere in your lawn leaving you to determine size then purchase more nuts and also hope you do not run over the now hidden nut. A cotter pin locking mechanism would have solved this issue.

Very easy to use.
Price and durability. Does not require a lot of storage room in the basement.
