If you like circular pendants or coin necklaces, this is a beautiful, well priced piece. The coin I received is very shiny and the bee, which is front facing is beautiful. It is heavier than I expected also. The gold parts are also very pretty and shiny, albeit not solid gold, they are very nicely made. Very happy with my purchase.

I like the historic story behind the 'bee" lire. I also like the black spinel pendant. Although it is from the 1950's it looks brand new. I love the "bee" on both sides and i like that it's two tone. Can be worn with silver or yellow gold. Very well made piece. My husbands family were from Italy so it has some nostalgia for me. It's a keeper.

I think it needs to be finished on the back, which would make it a perfect piece of jewelry. I am still very fond of it and wear it often.

What is not to like? I love this coin design! Gave my daughter my 2 Lira bee pendant and ring to my daughter who loves Gucci's symbol. The replacement I love because the contrast of the gold and black spinel frame. And the price is great which also includes a chain. I will also use this pendant as a charm on my Italian bracelets. And each coin has a date when minted! A nice detail!
