I never used Apple Car Play in my truck because I have a wireless phone charger mounted on the dash and didn't want to have to plug in the phone every time I got into the truck. The CarPlay Adaptor works well. I had a slight issue getting it set up but the tech support was quick and helpful. A minor downside is the length of time it takes to connect is sometimes longer than you think it should be (it has always connected) and if you bump the connection to the USB (its near the cup holder in the Tacoma) it will sometimes disconnect and have to reconnect. Over all very happy. Was able to get rid of SirisXM!

So disappointed. Purchased to use wireless CarPlay in my EV6. Upon setup, I updated the device as the instructions said to and it worked fine for the first few days. Fast startup and smooth user experience. Suddenly, and for no apparent reason, it just started randomly disconnecting and reconnecting while driving. I’ve tried everything I can think of to prevent it but nothing helps. I tried it in a different car and the same disconnect issue happens as well. I will continue my search and would not recommend this adapter.

The 5.0 Wireless CarPlay Adapter works very well. It installs easily. Connects all the time. Allows me to connect wirelessly to my iPhone 13 and my Subaru 2023 Forester. I've had no issues with it.

Installed on a 18 F150 , so far it has worked flawlessly.Boots up within 1second.. So far no signal loss,Havent tried it on a long road trip yet, so will update once i do so!

Used product about 60 days ago. Initial install and firmware update was easy. The connection to the phones BT works, but usable Car Play does not always show up on the car’s display. A black and white screen appears indicating a connection without usable functions. Obtaining a connection takes multiple attempts of disconnect and reconnect from the cars system and the hardware is connect through the provided USB cable. Unfortunately, determining when Apple Car Play will show versus the B & W screen is unknown. When connected, the product works fine.

I guess I'm that guy who is going to kill the perfect score. I bought one of these in the hopes it would be as perfect as all the reviews said. I followed the instructions and it sync'ed with my car quickly. Worked pretty good but not outstanding. Not as fast and snappy as is stated in other reviews. There is some latency but that's expected considering its wireless. During a phone call it completely disconnected. I pulled the plug and used my AirPods instead. Needless to say, it's being returned. I will stick with the inconvenient cable.

Set up was plug in, connect and pair. Simple!So far it works flawlessly. I’ll update after a month if anything goes wrong. All functions work perfectly and it connects in just a few seconds after starting car. iPhone 13 Pro and in a 2020 RAV4 XLE Premium. Sound quality is slightly improved from standard plug in CarPlay. It’s noticeable to me anyway. All steering wheel functions work fine. I wish I’d had this years ago.Update a few weeks in. Absolutely no issues and it works great. Highly recommend this item. I’m very pleased with the functionality of it. Bad reviews must have been defective items in my opinion.

I read several reviews for similar products for my 2024 Kia Telluride X-pro. This was highest rated so I figure I’d give it a try. Easy set up. Worked seamlessly from the first try. As others have mentioned there is a very slight delay on button press, but you get used to it. The only issue I’ve had is that rarely the music will play but no sound comes through the speakers. When that happens I have just simply unplugged the wire from the USB and plugged it back in (while driving) and it corrected the issue.Update after 1 month of use: Very spotty connection now. Easily connects 1/10 times. Sometime unable to connect at all for a few days in a row. Very frustrating after great few weeks. Will try to update firmware or reset to see if that helps
