Encoder didn't work
My oscilloscope showed the encoder output to be noisy and not at all a square wave. A and B outputs were 90 degrees out of phase, as they should be, but the signal had no sharp edges so it was useless.

Awesome Motor for a low price
This motor is well built, powerful, and well documented.

Will work at+5v but much better at+12v
Nice DC motor. Using two of them as drive motors on a self balancing robot.

Very quiet dc motor with plug and play encoder
I've had little luck with cheap DC motors with encoders in the past but I have to say this one is exceptionally high quality for what it costs. Encoder works no problem, and they are very quiet when compared to similar DC motors I've bought in the past.
