Best farm brand
My son loves all things farm and this brand never disappoints!

The Quality You Expect
Shleich brand toys are the best - this kit is no exception. My daughter was delighted to play with this, as it's got everything you would want for an active forest scene and is a great baseline for creative play when paired with other toys (especially her huge collection of animals, most by this same brand). These toys are high-quality plastic and you can get a feel for the craftsmanship right away when you handle them. I was excited to see this set online and have no regrets about ordering it - thanks!

NOT QUITE WHAT I EXPECTED
I was excited when I recognized the Schleich name and knew it was synonymous with quality German toys. I further thought the forestry set was unique and looked to be a step above your average farm toy reproduction. What I did not realize was that the utility vehicle would require complete, detailed assembly. Although it may be great for older children, it is not suitable for younger ones until it has been put together by an adult. I have decided to wait until my son-in-law has vacation time before gifting it. While there are numerous small pieces, there is a detailed instruction manual so he should do okay.

You Get What You Pay For
At first glance this little set may seem a bit pricey. And in all honesty, it is.However, if you're expecting this to be the typical cheaply-made set of plastic figures that are already irreversibly bent out of shape before you even open the box, you'd be wrong.Unlike so many other brands that make you feel as if you've wasted your money, these exude quality. The set is solidly made and the figures are highly detailed and very sturdy. It's clear a lot of care went into the design of these and that this manufacturer is one that takes pride in its product. This is such a nice set I was compelled to look through their company page to check out the rest of their product line.A little pricey? Yes. But, you're definitely getting what you pay for.And that's a trade-off I'm willing to make.

So much fun
I love schleich toys. This doesn’t disappoint. At first when I started putting the Jeep together I kinda thought why did they do this. The box was big enough if it was put together. My son enjoyed helping me put this together and I enjoyed it also. The instructions are step and step and in color. The Logs splint in half and go together in one big log so it can be cut just like someone would cut wood. My son absolutely loves this and it would make a great gift.

Not up to Schleich standards
I wanted to love this unique Schleich set when I unboxed it with my 6 year old. I was immediately dismayed by the nearly 30 step set of instructions to build the toy. I would rather pay a few dollars more and have everything ready to go out of the box, personally. This set has a pretty cool and sturdy vehicle, a man, dog, hedgehog and accessories. By looking at the pictures on the box I was feeling encourage to try various things with this set. But here is where my problems began. First off, my man came with his arms at his sides and they didn’t seem to move despite pictures suggesting that they do. I yanked really hard on them and hoped I wouldn’t rip them off and managed to get them moving. Next I tried having him hold the objects. He must have already had a few beers because he was unable to hold the included beer bottle. I applied his helmet for safety (very loose though!) and gave him a chance with the chainsaw. The chainsaw insists of two pieces that lock together, or at least they should. Mine do not and it keeps coming apart. I pretended to saw the logs. There are interlocking pieces that can simulate cutting a large branch into smaller chunks and then splitting those in half. I found that after a few times of splitting the logs they didn’t fit snugly together again. Now the little man and I were getting frustrated so I thought he should put on his backpack and head out. There are no instructions in the manual for assembling the backpack so used th illustrations to figure it out. That wasn’t so bad but I had a hell of a time getting th pack on him.I tried loading his logs into the flatbed so he could dump them, but I had a really hard time getting the back door to fold down. And I should mention that every time I touch the vehicle the taillights pop out. Frustrating! I’m an adult and I find this toy terribly frustrating. My daughter has barely touched it except for some basic driving of the vehicle and playing with the dog, hedgehog and stump. That makes this toy very overpriced. Also, what is the hook on a rope for? I couldn’t find anything in the set to attach th hook to.I love Schleich generally but not this set.

Schleich makes the highest-quality toys out there!
Our nephews LOVE this farm set, packed full of play features, accessories and value. It even comes with a loyal doggo and an adorable hedgehog! The farmer has a cool chainsaw that the kids LOVED, along with a half-dozen logs that can be 'sawed' in half then loaded in the truck. Hours of fun! The quality is off the charts, way better than most mass produced toys on the market. Sculpting and paint applications are perfect, and they can withstand heavy play. Also matches well with a ton of their other toys and action figures. Highest Possible Recommendation!
