Super Locks Black

Just changed the strap buttons on my new Ibanez bass for a set of these. I wanted a set in black to match the other hardware on the guitar, but I think there is no justification for having to pay £5 more for black than the nickel chrome set. Other than fashion. Anyway, fitting them wasn't as straight forward as I'd thought. The screws supplied were longer and narrower than the Ibanez stock screws, which wouldn't go through the centre hole of the Ernie Ball button, so I had to use the screws supplied with the set. This mean't plugging the hole screw holes in the guitar body with some thin slices of wood, to make a tight fit. No problem with the depth of the hole, which seems to be about 10 mm deeper than necessary for the screws used by Ibanez. Also, I noticed that the original button on the horn of the body wasn't very tight. as the screw hole was too wide, so plugging it has been useful anyway. Ibanez aren't on their own with this, the same thing happened with my Fender Mustang: the button screw was loose in it's fitting due to the hole being too wide at the top, and had to be plugged. I really like these strap locks though as they lock with a positive feel, don't stick out 20 mm like the Schaller ones, and I have four sets now, which means I can swap straps around as I like, and I just don't trust the ones that the manufacturers fit to stay in place. Shame on the industry that there isn't a standard size of fitting for these, so they could all be interchangeable.

This is the 2nd set I’ve bought as I was impressed with the 1st set. They make taking the strap off to put the guitar in its case a breeze. They feel secure when fitted. Easy to fit and look good

I have several guitars and have tried different strap locks, quite simply, these are the best. Others tend to be longer (sticking out more at the tail) which means that it becomes difficult/impossible to fit the guitar in a hard case with the strap fitted. These locks take the least amount of space, are extremely secure with fitting/attachment being easy. These are great strap locks, my only gripe is that I just wish the "Ernie Ball" logo wasn't quite so prominent (if a company wants me to advertise their brand, they really should pay me!).

Really good pair of strap locks. Easy to install. Ingeneous design. You squeeze the sides to take the strap on and off one installed. You can see the buttons on the image. Buy them!

Needed these bad as I dropped my Bass Guitar during a set and these bad boys are just what I needed! String sturdy and looks really nice!

Das sind mal Schlösser, die richtig gut funktionieren. Der Kopf ist zwar etwas groß, sieht dafür aber monstermäßig gut aus und rastet tip-top ein. Muss halt natürlich per Schraube erst mal gegen den originalen Gurtpin ausgetauscht werden. Das sollte aber sogar ein 10-jähriger mit etwas Vorsicht hinbekommen.
