Tether Tug Tennis Ball Replacement Tether Toy

I have a 30lb terrier mix who lives for a ball. Any ball! I got this hoping it would encourage him to self exercise and wear himself out (tired dog is happy dog not being destructive).The rope alone toy was a complete bust (not interested). This one however peaked his interest and I thought we had a winner! Until 5 minutes later and he had removed the ball from the rope. It was not tied as it is in the picture, but the ball sat above a knot at the bottom of the rope.My solution was to take a Jolly Horse Ball (with a handle) and tie to the rope. Worked like a charm and my dog is a happy camper wearing circular track in the yard! May try some artificial turf at that spot!

I ordered this for the Thether Tug because my dog loves balls. However, he played with the ball for approximately 10 minutes and destroyed the ball. The quality of the ball reminds me of the cheap quality balls you get in those Christmas stockings at the pet store. I was definitely expecting a better quality product. I would definitely advise you not to buy this product if you have a dog who has any strength at all.

The quality of the rope is good, but the way the ball attaches to it, should go back to the idea board, because my 11 month old shepherd got it off on the first tug. The rope is still going. So if you have a large dog, skip this item and buy the rope-only style.

This is NOT suitable for strong dogs. It took my pittie less than 5 minutes to pull the rope off the cleat....the knot did NOT hold at all...and then work the tennis ball off and destroy it. Sorry, you don't know how to make really strong toys!

High quality tug toy because of the tennis ball which all dogs love. I think it's his favorite tug toy of the bunch I've bought. Well constructed and hard to chew through. Good bang for the buck.

My 35 lb. doggie loves it. Keeps him busy. The original pole is really rusting fast however. Keep it covered outside but moisture really doing a job on the metal pole. :(

Do not buy this unless you have a little tiny dog. 40 lb golden retriever had ball off in short time, tied it back on, got it off again. Absolutely of no value now.. Ball is just tied at bottom NOT looped as shown. DONOT buy it waste of your money!

There was no ball attached to the rope

This goes with the Tether Tug toy and the tennis ball is an alternative to the rope that comes on the original. I got it to have an extra but my dog is a tug freak so she will tug wither attachment. The toy itself is a great invention and so glad to have the back up replacement because she uses it a lot!

my dog will not play with it. He was playing with hit and grabbed the ball and let it go and it hit him in the head so he refuses to even go near it. had to take it out of the yard.

Disappointed in the way ball was attached. Tried to tighten it before my puppy played with it, but it took her 1 day to break it.I agree with earlier post that suggests Jolly Horse ball (with handle) to attach properly.

If I could have given it a ZERO I would have. This toy is JUNK! Attached to my flirt pole and the rope was tore in half in less than a half hour. I do not recommend this product.

Saves my arm from constantly throwing the tennis ball for my mastiff outside and she loves it. She will play for a long time by herself with this and it takes a good beating.

This rope is softer than most dog ropes. Unfortunately, that means the knots didn't hold super well after a few weeks and the tennis ball came off, but the dogs still love it.
