I am a big guy and bought this mat specifically for stretching out and doing kettle bell workouts in my living room. Been using it for roughly a month now and love it. Large enough that I can fully stretch out and do Turkish getups without my kettle bell touching hard wood floors. Speaking of floors I use this mat directly over hard wood flooring and find it provides pretty good cushioning. More importantly it does not budge--I have tried to make it slide and it will not. It stays in place with no curl to edges and rolls up easily for storage. A very stable base with just the right amount of cushion for working with and swinging heavy bells with the confidence that you are completely grounded for the workout. My daughter does yoga on it and practices gymnastics so it has already had a lot of use with no sign of wear or tear.

This mat along with a few other brands sat in my cart for MONTHS. I read review after review after review. I finally settled on gorilla mats for 2 reasons 1. If it gets messed up they replace it! Say whaaaat?! Yep if you’re gonna spend $140 thAt is Totally a reason to purchase from this company. 2. They are a small family owned business. That’s very important in these days of big box stores taking over our landscape. I purchased an $80 mat from lululemon that’s total junk and no where near the size of this one. It’s probably 1/4 the size of this one. Is it slippery? Yes , but it says after use that will fade. Much like every other yoga mat I’ve purchased. If I’m doing any yoga poses or push ups or something I just place a yoga mat down for my hands.It is a sturdy thick mat I use it over carpet An it moves a little but I do tons of hiit work outs with lots of jumping around. I just place a 10 lb weight on 2 of the 4 sides and it stays in place perfectly. It comes with 2 straps so you can roll it up and out of the way. Oh yeah the best part, it lays flat from the 1st time you unroll it. That was a huge sell for me. My lululemon mat does not, and that is a total trip hazard. This size was perfect for doing broad jumps, burpees, lateral jumps, jump rope. Basically any exercise. For reference I’m 5‘4“ and 117 pounds. Support small businesses!!

I have a home gym with vinyl planks. I have this mat and smaller version for my home gym inside my condo. Great protection. I've never dropped anything significant on it though. I also used these mats for home improvement projects to protect my floors (i.e. cutting wood etc). It cleaned up well with vacuum and some wet paper towels.

Compact but dense mat, arrived promptly and in good condition, rolled out smoothly on the floor. No strong odor on the mat, but enough that will need to wash the included towel before use. The large size and substantial weight due to density is exactly what I wanted.Glad I splurged on this for my home gym, finally I can do long jumps and side-to-side jumps without the mat sliding on the floor! Excellent grip on laminate floor, measures as advertised, easy to roll up and transport if needed. Planning to use this for HIIT, weight lifting, yoga, core/barre. After testing it out briefly it seems suitable for all of these without discomfort. Even though it is quite thin, the substantial material is enough to make floor work comfortable.Happy customer! :)

Durable, comfortable for floor exercises. I put my rowing machine on it and is 1/2 of it for floor. Very roomy and looks great, great value for money

I have two Gorilla mats and they both serve their purpose as intended. To my sense of smell, they have zero odor and are easy to sweep clean and lay flat.My two less than positive, but minor comments are that I wish is that there were more size and thickness options to choose from. Also, the color match with the second mat is off from my first purchase. From the description, I thought the second mat would be the same black as the first. Not so.

Bought this in 2019 but only now I'm using it. It's made very well and a great size for working out.

Love this mat. If you buy you won’t be disappointed. Stays put, go barefoot and you will not slip at all. Would recommend for sure.
