Thread repair set

Save time and your threads
Great way to save and actually improve threads in aluminum blocks. I see a lot of stripped out threads in small aluminum engines such as Hondas and clones. This is an easy set to use and seems to be of a good quality.

Great kit!
Quick and easy to use! The cutting bit cleaned out the old thread quickly, the threader fit and cut smoothly, then the spring twisted in without issues. The kit accepted screws neatly and tightly, and my motorcycle's crash bars now fit securely again!

Cheap material
Bits are Super cheap, couldn’t repair 1 thread before 3 bits lost their sharpness. Thread cutter broke in a hole I had already created, creating an even bigger problem to take out. Would recommend for plastic thread repair but no other materials

Short coils, no T-Handles but still works well.
The kit is pretty complete, there are 2 issues that make it a 4 star review instead of 5. First, the kit doesn't come with any T-Handles. You will need to get one to use the taps and there are 2 different sizes needed. Second, the coils are all D1, meaning the length of the coil is the same as the diameter. I would have liked some D1, D2, D3 coils for longer applications.

Toll, alles funktioniert perfekt, hat mir jede menge geld gespart. Die Gabelschützer sind an die KTM gabel wieder dran. Kaufen ohne bedenken.

Quality tool for the price
Came quickly and in a well made, solid box. Had all the sizes I needed (M5-M12) for some thread repairs on my motorbike frame. I'm a heavy duty mechanic and marine engineer so I'm used to using Heli-Coil and their expensive tools. However, I'm to cheap to pay for them for my own shop! These were great quality and the small intention tools are easy to use. All parts were decent quality for the price. Drill bits were decent enough for mild steel captive nuts and aluminium, and the taps made a decent thread for the coils. Coil went in clean without jamming, as did the nut after. Break off tool worked fine too and the coil snapped cleanly. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to anyone needing a coil set with tools for general shop use. Good quality for an excellent price compared to name brand Heli-Coil.
