Great Quality at An Inexpensive Price
If you want to experience the 535 Bugout® knife, but without the higher brand cost and yet with a good, reputable Chinese steel, you will appreciate this knife. Characteristically light, very sharp, good fit and finish, and smooth AXIS-style locking and opening. Very pleased with this quality knife purchase.

Looks like one but it's not
I had been wanting a Benchmade Bugout for maybe a year but being someone who only spent about $50 on a knife before I wasn't ready to buy one. I bought this red one on Amazon that is a "clone" as they say to see if I would actually like a Bugout in person before pulling the trigger on a real one and for under $20 at the time of purchase I figured I worth taking a look at in person. I carried this one for about a month before deciding that I did in fact want an actual Bugout so I can now compare the two. It has all the right dimensions and the clone is light weight as well so it feels much like a real Bugout. The 8CR13MOV steel does not hold an edge though. I have another knife with this steel it I had always been a fan of 8CR but on the red clone it lost its edge after a couple weeks so basically it no longer passed the paper slicing test. The action on the red clone feels a little more clicky, whereas the Bugout has a smoother action. Also I took my red clone apart to clean and oil it and found that the screws can be easy to strip so little signs of the cheapness on this clone. I would still rather buy this red clone over a $15 "stainless steel" Schaefer from the gas station but just know that you are not getting Benchmade quality with the clone. On the real Benchmade, you are getting a USA made knife with a super steel and real grivory handles. Also they have a lifetime warranty and lifetime sharpening so you are getting high quality and the best level of customer service in the industry. Not to mention Benchmade patented the axis lock and omega spring opening system and now everyone has put that on their knifes so Benchmade deserves credit for their innovations as well. The Bugout is not for everyone, to some they feel like cheap plastic knives but that's kind of the whole point. Some of us love the lightness of the Bugout and also its light while having high quality materials. Plus if you watch videos on youtube like the Dutch Bros. the clones break easily while the Benchmade models hold up to all the abuse they get put through so basiclly if you want a light cheap knife without spending a lot of money this will be fine I guess, but don't think your getting the same high quality and high level of customer service that will get from an original Bugout.

10/10 must buy knife
This is a bench made bug out for 20$. Fantastic knife. I catch my self using it as a fidget toy too often because it’s so satisfying to use. You can buy 20$ scales for the big out and they fit perfect. I love this knife and think it’s the best knife value on earth right now. Get it and see what I’m saying. Bench made should be ashamed to charge their prices for something that can be made and sold for 20$ minus steel quality. With that said this knife comes razor sharp, holds the edge and is easy to sharpen. Amazing amazing knife for 20$.

Best Bugout Clone
I've purchased 2 of these from this company. They seem well built. Very sharp out of the box. Is it comparable to the brand-name, widely popular knife? No. But it's nearly 1/10th the price. It's a great slicer for EDC, and you won't break the bank if you lose it on vacation. Highly recommend.

It's ok
It has a pretty cheap plastic feel to it, but it comes pretty sharp from the get go.

Can’t get the belt clip off
Update: an overnight rest and some extra effort got the screws loose and the clip off. Feels better in my pocket unclipped. This knife will always go in my pocket so I set about to remove the clip. Got one of two screws loose but could not remove it OR thread it back in. The same bit would not work with the second screw so it remains unmoved. I may end up grinding the clip off but will wear it as is for a while.

Bugout clone
this is a very well done clone...I wonder if truly Benchmade makes this knife in the USA or they are cheating on everyone saying this a made in the USA...for the buck you have a good knife, I'm not willing to expend $150 in a plastic knife, and that's what the "original" knife is...I'm very happy because I hadn't to expend such amount of money for the original, having this superior clone in a cheaper price...five stars.
