Worked great for us!
We have a dog that barks at other animals on TV. It was cute at first, but now is driving us crazy! I bought a bark collar, and it helped a little, but she soon got used to the beep, and because she has a lot of fur, the "shock" didn't seem to faze her either. The FIRST time I used the ultrasonic device, she got the message, loud and clear! I said "no", as I used the device, so now if I just say "no", she stops immediately. She will now watch the TV, but if she sees an animal, she only whines very quietly, and if I say "NO", that's the end of it. Very pleased with this purchase!

Works like a champ
From day one, my next door barkers have run away and shut up when I fire this baby at them. Now when they see me, they usually run and hide even without my sound zapping them. One of the bolder of the 3 sometimes does a test bark, so I quickly shoot that down. Also, when I hear them barking while I am inside the house, I always do to the closest door and give them another reminder. That stops the barking right away. Prior to getting this device, I was constantly being barked at every time I was in my own backyard. I even tried bribing them with dog treats. They ate the treats, but didn't stop barking after they finished. It was so bad, I couldn't do much in the back, because the barking was constant and loud, and my young neighbors only yelled at the dogs once and awhile, to no avail. So far this has worked great!

It works.
**Review update** after placing my initial review, the company contacted me and immediately shipped out a replacement! the one I received works perfectly and I am able to continue training my puppy...**Old review** This worked well for about two weeks and then it broke... My puppy responded well to this when it worked, but for almost $35, I had hoped we would get more than two weeks out of it... I do NOT recommend this. (And by broke, I mean no sound or light. It no longer beeps when I push the button and the light does not turn on to indicate that it is working. I changed the batteries and still nothing.)

Or dog learned “no bark” right away!
Our standard poodle, Ziggy, had a barking issue all of his life. We tried a variety of proactive training methods to re-educate him about when barking is appropriate, but none worked.A couple of weeks ago we got the BossBee Ultrasonic Bark Control Trainer. When you press a button, it emits a high-pitched tone (inaudible to humans) that can annoy/distract your dog from barking. Ziggy barked, we said “no bark” and clicked the button. He stopped, looked at us, and started barking again - we said no bark and clicked the button. And he stopped! We praised him for complying. The next time Ziggy heard the knock at the door we said “no bark” and didn’t have to correct! Again, lots of praise for obeying the “no bark” command! We’ve only had to use the correction tone a couple of times since the first day - sometimes we’re too slow to say “no bark”, and I think Zig occasionally wants to test us to see if it’s still a rule! Sometimes he can’t help himself and grumbles instead of barking. It’s pretty cute and we can live with that! Lol!FWIW, I think this could be a good tool to use to correct other types of behaviors. Of the reviewers that said their dog “got used to it” I’d say they were probably using it to “deter” only, not as a tool to teach a command. And the price is right - it doesn’t break the bank to try it. 5 stars!

Excellent Product
“This is excellent! Very easy to carry in a pocket, purse, or in your hand. Works great for stopping our dog from barking anywhere, Inside or Outside. Our dog within a week recognized the product just by showing it to her. I would suggest this to anyone. It can be used anywhere. Even stopped our annoying neighbors dog. It's an excellent training tool to help keep a dog calm and know it's ok to be quiet.

Did I Expect Too Much?
I read lots of the reviews of this, and many similar items. Tried this for our brain-damaged, idiot rescue monster goofball (can you tell we love her?) Husky/Chow mix. She's a wonderful monster, but very protective of the house. Barks at anybody that comes to the door, no matter what we say. Even when relatives stay over night, she's barking at any quick movement. They can briefly bribe her with treats, but she'll take one and the bark at them when she's finished swallowing. Nutball. It's just easier to stop inviting people over, because I don't want to spend the whole visit trying to keep her calm...it just doesn't work and it frustrates everyone. Paid for a personal trainer...no success. Thought we'd try this. We didn't want to use the collar ones, or the plug ins that go off for every bark. Sometimes, it's perfectly okay for her to bark...we just want her to stop when company comes over (that we like!). It will sort of get her attention about one time in five uses. She's just so full of adrenaline when in protector mode (we assume it's fear and may have to do with why she needed to be removed from her first crappy home by the Humane Society), that she doesn't really notice the thing. I think it's working (since she does look over once in a whole when the button is pushed), it just doesn't work for her. Oh well, it's her house. We can meet friends at a restaurant.

It works
We had used a similar device in the past, but it was stationary for the area near the door where the dogs bark. I was concerned that the distance would be limited, but I can be far from the dogs & it works without being right next to them. I say a command to stop barking, then click the device - just one quick click. They stop & turn to look at me. That is it. They know to stop barking. The next goal is to remember to take it with me while on walks so they stop barking at Wes's little dog down the road.

Life saving product
This is an amazing product. My nearly 8 year old poodle developed an annoying habit of waking my husband up every night in the middle of the night if I got up to go to the bathroom. We tried various things but this worked. First night was difficult as she is willful. But I persisted and accompanied each click with a stern "no." By the third night we only used it once and now I only have to reach for it and she quiets. She has slept through the night for the last two nights.

Great - but not a substitute for training
This is a very good addition to a training regimen for a barking dog. It is not going to magically fix the problem but is a great way of distracting the dog (without having to yell and create further noise) and then asking for an alternative behaviour that can then be rewarded. It’s not going to automatically correct them when you are out of course, but another plus is that it’s portable and you can take it on walks. Overall a very good investment. My dog appears startled but not distressed by the sound.

Amazing!!
I thought I would give this a try but I didn't have much expectations to be honest. To my my surprise this product works incredibly well on my Jack Russell Terrier who has taken a disliking to our new neighbours. He just constantly barks at them and wouldn't listen to any of my commands. I pointed this product at him and pushed the button and to my surprise he came running back to me tail wagging. Now we've gotten to the point where if he just see's the device he doesn't even attempt to bark... I highly recommend this product, it's a great bark deterant and training aid!!

Amazing !
This thing is awesome ! We have two Shih Tzu dogs, one of which is a rescue and he barks whenever a car pulls up outside and goes charging out to meet and greet. He has encouraged the other one to follow and copy this behaviour which can be a real pain and they are quite hard to call back in all their excitement and feed off each other. One push of the button on this small device and we have instant obedience. - Even at the height of excitement, I can bring them down from a level 10 to a level 1. I have only used it for teaching them to contain themselves, which isn't often as they are usually well trained and disciplined. I would recommend this to anyone who has trouble getting their pup to listen. Absolutely incredible. And does not give pain or electrical currents to them.

Pretty Good
Worked great for a while, now my dog has learnt to move further away just so she can have her bark.Bought the same device but in a collar (Shut the bark up) works much better for her now cause she can’t run away from it. Every dog is different but unfortunately not good for a Cavoodle.

Works well used judiciously.
With careful compassion this device stopped my dachshund from inappropriate barking in one day. I wanted him to give two warning barks then stop when I acknowledged him. If he persisted I ordered him “quiet”. If he still persisted I gave one short sharp press on the device. He hated it. He would shake his head and give me a reproachful look. But he now does exactly as I wanted. He is an intelligent lit
