Following the directions doesn't work
So, I provided 2 photos: one where we followed the directions and one where we got a footprint as shown in the photos here on Amazon. Following the directions provided an incomplete, shoddy, impression of an impression, as you can see. Because the person you're making hand and footprints of IS A BABY and doesn't understand how to provide the kind of even pressure without moving that this requires.On the other hand, they provide 4 pieces of paper-so, if you don't mind only getting one footprint and one handprint-you stand a good chance of getting a great print. Have 3 or 4 wipes ready for each foot or hand LOL you will need to be FAST with them, but, they do a good job of getting the ink off your lovey's skin.Seriously: BE REALLY FAST WITH THE WIPES.

It has everything you need to capture your newborns footprint and handprint. The kit comes with clear instructions too. It even has four of the cards so if you mess up you can try again.

Takes a little practice to get a good print
We used this for capturing our puppy's paw print. It takes some practice to get a good print. We wasted 3 slides of the good paper that's included before doing some on a regular sheet of paper. It's important to not move the subject's paw or hand once you make contact otherwise it'll smudge. The 8 prints are really 4 pieces of cardstock paper, front and back so you can really only display 4 at a time but any paper can be used. The card holders do not have any covering to protect the finished print so you have to put them in a real picture frame with a glass face to protect from future damage.

i got this for my mom for my little sister and she loved it
not too hard to use once you know how to , awesome for capturing little one’s footprints and handprints
