I have to superglue the leg back onto the music stand because it arrived broken other than that it sounds like a real piano and works it does take 4AA batteries and the performance is nice i tested it and it has different music modes and for the price it is a good investment because you have to really know how to play a piano to make something that sounds good on this and any toddler or small child can play this piano i say it ranges from whenever a child can stand up and use bigger toys until age 5 or 6
