They love how well done the magnetic chess set looks, and are surprised by the level of detail. After zooming into the picture, they couldn't believe it was a functional chess set. Just be careful with the board since it is not glued to the stem, or the central leg. Other than that, it's not warped, the pieces are complete (no extra Queen, lol), and it's magnetic. You may add a stronger magnet, but I think you're thinking of using this more than just for decorative purposes. I'm chess coach and fan, this would be a lovely gift for someone who is the same, and although it's meant for a doll house, the thought it's what matters.
