Vital All-Terrain Steering Column Lock Guard for 1995-2005 GMC Sierra 1500 2500 3500 Pickup Truck

There was an attempt to steal my truck before I purchased this steering column lock. Hopefully this will deterrent any future attempts at stealing my truck along with a brake lock.

As you can see my truck was nearly stolen. My previous truck was stolen only 8 months ago so I have high hopes this will help prevent the theft attempts. I had the steering wheel lock cable on when they tried to steal the truck and they didn't even attempt to remove it before destroying the steering column and the ignition. Most of us know it takes a few seconds to cut through the steering wheel to bypass anything like a club and the shown cable but the more deterrents you add, hopefully they make the thieves pass onto something simpler. The fit is very good, once you get used to the set up and the unlocking is easy to do in the dark. The hinge point at the bottom should make it harder to simply smash off though I think it could be pryed off but not with a screw driver. I would pay $100 more for one that was twice as thick if the manufacturer looks at comments.
