Great, Reasonably Priced Option.
With an injured foot and doctor’s orders to keep my weight off of it, it quickly became clear that I should get a knee roller or scooter of some kind so I could get around the house without doing further damage to myself. As I won’t need it for more than a month, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on one. My first step was to research my options. I found that one concern people had with EVERY kind of scooter, was being thrown off when encountering an obstacle like a stone on the path or uneven pavement. Forewarned is definitely forearmed. Just go slow. After looking at a variety of rollers, I settled on this KneeRover Economy Scooter, with which I am highly pleased. I received it five days ago, but waited until I needed to use it for a reasonably long “walk” outdoors. Yesterday’s visit to the doctor was the ideal test for outdoor use. I had to navigate uneven pavement to get to my car, and once we arrived at the office, a ridiculously long, poorly designed handicap walkway through the suite of offices to get to the access ramp leading up into my doctor’s office. After that, I had to make my way down a vinyl-tiled aisle to get to reception and the room where my foot splint was re-wrapped. Did all of that safely and comfortably (well, as comfortably as temperatures over 100 and high humidity allow). As a bonus, the med techs re-wrapping me said my foot was perfectly positioned for them to do their work, so I didn’t even need to get off of the scooter. Returning home meant going down the ramp and walkway I’d had to go up before, And finally back over the uneven walkway from my car to my house. The key, whether on carpet, tile, pavement or asphalt, is to go slow and steady while being ready to engage the breaks at any moment, more of an issue for me outside rather than inside, where I barely need to use them on my carpeted floors. The brakes respond instantly, which is excellent. I also partially engaged the brakes to slow progress if the roll down hill was picking up more speed than I wanted, which allowed me to navigate the ramps safely. You can sit sideways on the scooter if needed, provided you lock the brakes to keep it stable. The break locking and releasing mechanisms are easy to work. Assembly was quick, though I suggest you read the instructions over once or twice before getting to work. The product is sturdy and well-made. At 20 or so lbs, the scooter is light enough to lift up and reposition, if needed when remounting. The knee pad is comfortable enough for short jaunts, though for longer ones, you might want to buy a knee pad cover. While this scooter doesn’t have a carry basket, that isn’t an issue for a woman with a deep purse she can hang off the handle bars. Any sort of handled bag would work just as well. Pay attention to the safety instructions and, for long-term use, the maintenance instructions. All in all I highly recommend this product.

Lifesaver For Broken Foot
This Knee Scooter was a lifesaver for me when I broke my foot one week prior to our scheduled cruise. I got put in a non weight bearing cast and was given a pair of crutches. Forget it, crutches are the worst. This thing did the job I would never have been able to go on this cruise without my knee scooter. It is so easy to move around and worked well in my non-handicap cabin and all over the ship. It is so lightweight that the airline and the tenders to go from the cruise ship to the port and back just picked it up and put it in place for me. I researched this thing to death and I am now convinced that this was the perfect choice. Only thing I added was a 2" piece of high density cushion covered by a fleece knee walker cover and that made it much more comfortable. Mainly only because I bruised my knee on the same leg as my broken foot so it absorbed some of the pressure. Note that this scooter does not included a basket, that's a good thing cause a basket looks and is very dorky. I purchased the KneeRover Deluxe Kneewalker Mini Backpack. It attaches to the steering column and has plenty of storage space so you don't need to fill your pockets with all your stuff. It even has a drink holder on each side concealed inside these little pouches with zippers. Trust me, these things came in handy especially on the cruise ship and the port locations and believe me they are just the right size for the beverages of choice on a hot a humid tropical island. The mini backpack also doubles as a fanny pack but never used it like that just wrapped the straps up and velcroed them behind the backpack... The backpack takes all of five seconds to attach or remove from the scooter, cool item. This is definitely the scooter you want to buy due to the quality construction, price and the matte black finish was cooler looking than I thought it would be. I was pleasantly surprised. In addition, friendly customer service once they get back to you after leaving message with a receptionist.Couldn't be happier with the KneeRover Economy Scooter.

Life saver compared to stupid crutches!
This thing has saved me a lot of hurting since I got it and I couldn’t be more thankful for it being shipped&delivered as quickly as it was. I broke my foot and have to be completely non-weight bearing and I found out quickly that crutches were to be my actual worst nightmare... I was constantly in pain from using them, I fell multiple times... it was a mess. (I have never really been clumsy before until I started using crutches!)My insurance was supposed to get me a knee scooter and long story short they suck and it STILL never came in- I gave up and ordered this scooter and it got to me within a few days. I’ve used it for a week now and this thing has been a game changer. I am 5'6" and 300+ pounds, so anyone heavy set like me can definitely rely on this scooter to support your full weight without putting too much strain on your body (unlike crutches). Some things to consider: putting it together was a little confusing, but we got it done within like 20 minutes. This thing is pretty big in size and kinda clunky- I've read in other reviews that it supposedly folds down? I have yet to figure out how to do that. So I end up having to just fit the whole thing as is in whatever car I'm in. So far it's worked though. Also because of its size, it can be a little hard to maneuver through tight spaces, but still workable. The turning on this bad boy is pretty weak- probably to reduce chances of tipping over. So make sure to give yourself room to turn and get use to backing yourself up a few times- I was able to master that pretty quickly! Another thing to be aware of, since it's SO much easier to get around on this thing, you may be tempted to go a little faster or get use to not paying attention to the ground under your.... I highly suggest you don't get too excited lol run one of these wheels over a rock or over a bump too fast and you're likely to go flying. I've had a few close calls, so, trust me... I take my time now and watch where I'm going.Overall, this scooter has been a life saver and I would choose this over crutches ANY day. If you’re like me and totally suck with crutches, get this knee scooter, it’s awesome and helps SO much. Also I suggest you get the knee walker padded seat cover to go with it- trust me, your knee will thank you!!

Effective, economical choice for post surgery
Years ago I had foot surgery and a co-worker who let me borrow her knee cart. It was such a wonderful help both at home and work. Now, years later, I needed another surgery and knew I wanted to get a knee cart. This knee cart is not as nice as the one I had borrowed, but I feel it is well made and stable. It was simple enough to put together and has a wide range of handle bar and knee pad adjustments to get the right "fit".The handle is made to flip down over the knee pad so that it can easily be placed into a trunk or back of an SUV, although I have never actually used the feature on this one. I did on the one I had borrowed and it was a great feature to have while I was working.I did have to spend extra money to get a cup/phone holder, a basket (yes, you need it), and an extra pad for the "seat". They were all well worth the money and I still spent much less than I would have on more expensive knee cart models.Things to know:The steering radius is not great. It makes a lot of 3+ point turns necessary. I know that's a safety feature so you don't "jack-knife" the thing and fall or tip over, but even an extra inch would improve maneuverability. If you have wide doorways and halls, shouldn't really be an issue. The wheels are not for made for outside use. I have rolled on concrete, but even small stones and sticks, and other debris are obstructions and you need to be careful.Overall, very happy with the purchase. I feel I got a great value for the ability it provides to move around the house.

Excellent post operative scooter for lower extremity mobility needs
I purchased this scooter to help with mobility after ankle surgery. I have it as my 'indoor scooter'. I feel it is stable and rolls smooth. The cushioned knee pad is a great comfort relief. It is quiet and with adjustable hight of knee pad and handle bar. This provides a comfortable fit. There is no basket, but I just use an old backpack to carry items. It rolls easily on the tile and hardwood. Depending on carpet height and softness, it takes more effort to push, though still rolls smooth. One thing to be careful is area rugs. I've found the wheel can catch the corners of the rugs if you aren't paying attention, leading to a sudden torque on the handlebars. Obviously, this makes sense, but if you aren't paying attention it can catch you off guard.

Very good, but things to be aware of - happy with it, but make note...
My wife was working out a couple weeks ago and handed wrong, breaking her foot severely to the point of no weight for up to 12 weeks and we are still awaiting word on if she’ll need surgery. But she needs to get to the bathroom and between the bed and recliner, so we had to do something. After researching the various products she decided on this brand, and this scooter.Overall we are giving it a 5 star and it is deserved, but there are some points you will want to make note of when choosing.1. Set up: This is easy to set up. But. A. You will want to have someone able bodied to do it. It is not overly heavy, but there is weight to it, and it’s bottom heavy, so you need to be able to move around, adjust, even climb/lay not the floor or put it up on a table. If you are injured you’re not likely to be comfortable doing many of the elements - you’ll need to brace yourself, push, hold, tighten, etc. One step will require setting the height of the kneeler and you will need/want someone to be down adjusting this while you measure your comfort level. B. FOLLOW EACH STEP AS DESCRIBED! We had read a few reviews about set up and when we did ours I went literally step by step - to the T - to identify and perform each step. This has kept us from having any of the issues others describe. There are a couple points where this might seem difficult, off, or you’re not sure, but be careful, follow the steps, and be clear you’re doing as described. One does NOT want to fall or feel unsure about its security when using this (or any) scooter. C. Tighten as you go - often you tighten after everything is done, but from what I was doing and experiencing, tighten as I went kept me from having to figure out how to reach something or get back to something - and was safest when my wife tested heights.2. Comfort: Overall she finds this a very comfortable scooter, but it is cheaper - that others from this manufacturer - so I said early on she’ll likely want a cushion for the knee pad - she did within 2 days. It is fine, but she’ll be on this for 12 weeks and most will use for at least 6 weeks. You are going to want a cover. We got her one from the same company and again, she likes it - but thinks it might be a little thicker as well. My wife finds the handle bars easy to use, and the overall comfort to be fine. That said, if we were to do it again, she’s thinking she’d get a higher level one for added comfort.3. Handles, stopping, starting. This is easy to use, It’s all you - leg power pushing. But if you’re venturing beyond your home you’ll need to be aware of the slopes, you’ll notice every bump in the road, and you’re going to have to be aware far more than usual of grading and how to get over and around things. This one does fine, it is workable, but there is, again, an element she prefers she’d gone a little higher quality. She does feel everything and has said she would get one with better wheels/tires. These are not very off-load friendly. We did one trip into our community parking lot so she could get doctor ordered sun and she was not enjoying the bumps and hardness. She also has a slight concern about the brakes - one tightens well, the other is weaker. So these combined make her wish she had gone higher quality - but with the same company. She recommends riding outside with your hands on the brakes at all times - you never know when a change is coming and you have to react in ways you’re not used to.4. My wife was looking at higher level ones with this company and is telling me that you have to have a major price upgrade for better tires: meaning all terrains tires that can get you around comfortably in multiple types of locations (parking lots, offices, ground, gravel, house, anything you can think of). This is fine for the house, getting to and from the car, maybe the store, but parking lots are uncomfortable, gravel and acorns hurt, and so forth. But there is a price jump. She is thinking she’d pay the extra from this experience - maybe not under Covid conditions where we are stuck at home, and she has been told she cannot have any movement/weight/bump risks until she’s out of the woods for surgery - but we live in a place where we like to get out and do things, so if we were able, she’d want more access this does not provide.5. Maneuverability: Our home is smeller, so we kept that in mind. She wanted/needed to get around on her own, so she needed to consider turning radius. She picked this one because she didn’t feel she needed or would be safe turning on a dime, but how could she adjust? This one does not have a tight turn, which allows it to keep its stability. That makes her feel secure. But she counters it with being able to pick it up and move it in those moments, which makes her feel fine and not at all uncomfortable making adjustments as such. Being light means being aware of that - you don’t have to worry about it tipping and falling on you, but it’s light. But she can adjust and she does not lack stability for movement. If you need it to feel more stable she noted in reviews how those may be heavier. She didn’t want that. This is something she does not regret in this choice, nor would give up. She has never felt unstable or tippy and she confidently gets herself around when she needs to move.6. She HIGHLY recommends if you’re going to be using this for any period of time and you want any sort of autonomy: get a cup holder and basket. We have not gotten a basket and I’m not sure both would fit - in fact I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t work. I’m home all the time and I can carry things for her. She does have a great cup holder we also got on Amazon - ironically for strollers - 2 Pack Stroller Drink Holders for Cups or Bottles Universal for Bicycle, Wheelchair, Trolleys, 360 Rotation is the name on the product page. This one fits perfectly on this scooter and holds a serious amount of weight. We have large Tervis tumbler - always full when she moves it around - and it is heavy! This holder hasn’t had an issue.Overall this is a great scooter and has saved us. The first day I was practically carrying her around (and led to a torn hamstring) until this arrived and we are thrilled she’s had it. Again, in our old world we likely would have upgraded to get out more, but for Covid or those staying home more or easier locations to get to, this is stellar. She also will be on it for 12 weeks minimum, so we have to see what level of activity she’ll be allowed. But for home it’s perfect. For much of our pre-covid daily lives it would have worked. If we’d have been able to get to a theme park or some other outdoor location, it would have been better to have better tires. But still a great scooter and choice.

He thought I was crazy till he tried it !
Game changer. If you have a below the knee injury - throw away the crutches. This gave my husband so much freedom to move around in and out of the house.1) easy to assemble. Comes packaged and mostly put together. you have 3 areas to apply a some type of connector. The knee seat - insert to your height and insert D-ring to hold. - Easy The Handle bar - pre-assembled with the brakes. Turn the wheels so the "back" lable is facing the back of the scooter. insert to appropriate height. Instert set screw - easy finger tightening - no tools. Then the clip - this took a bit more "thought" but easy. I went to flip this in and thought - no way will this clip in.. I then realized I could adjust this by turning - it is a screw to adjust the level to clip in the front adjustment for the handle bar. Easy2) It took my husband all of 30 seconds to get comfortable and trust it. I did buy the extra memory foam seat cushion. He was able to us it as a steady handle to get out our patio door - which has a small 3-4" lip. He rolls up to the door and opens the door. Stands on his non injured foot to balance and places the scooter on the other side of the door. Stables it, grabs the break handle and then places the injured leg onto the scooter and off he goes. We did this similar action with larger steps. NOT that I recommend this. We have 2 steps getting in and out to of the garage. He is able to "hop" carefully down one step then he can grab the scooter and reapply himself. Use care and common sense here.3) such a value for the money ! my husband is to be totally off his foot for 2 weeks healing from achillies surgery. I hate crutches - I think in some cases do more damage than good. this is a game changer and is worth the money.Note - this does not have a basket. I did not want a basket - I thought my husband would hate it .. he thought I was crazy getting this till he got it and loved it. And he then says.. it could use a basket or a shelf.. I laughed - so if they are going to be cooped up for a bit - a basket would be helpful for them to carry things around as both hands are needed to be stable and drive around.

Works, but have balance issues
Good part: Very useful compared to a walker or crutches. Easy to move around in straight path. Best option than crutches after surgery, even inside the house. Reasonable price. I have bought used one, but it looks like new. Easy to assemble. I tied my small backpack in front and it worked well. I saved money from buying accessories. Not good: Trips for small turns. I think the back wheels being much less axle distance than the front once can cause the problem. However a wider axle will block walking on other feet. I tripped multiple times and some of them caused additional pain and risk on the leg surgery already done. So, I am not sure what is optimal and should be researched by the company. Later I also noticed that, there is a learning and practice from my part also to get well balanced.Wheel tires leaves heavy black marks on tile floors. Initially I thought it is because new, but it constantly happens. So it requires clean up work after every couple of weeks.Knee pad cause pain after laying leg few minutes. I do not know the hardness is meant for stabile or just low quality. Or it is not enough height as I am “6.1” tall.I have not used it outside the house because it is heavy to carry to car and put in it. You need additional person to help that if you are already not able to use one leg.Overall: Works great for basic movements. Practice well before a planned usage. Be careful in first two weeks to not trip and fall.If you have money, my recommendation is to buy a model that has better turning flexibility. This one requires 2-3 back and forth movements to have a complete turn around.

Super util y divertido

A must have if non-weight bearing
Possibly the best £130 I’ve ever spent. I was 6 weeks non-weight bearing after an ankle fusion, and this scooter saved me. Used it from day 1 and it gave me the independence and freedom that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Yes, it has some quirks, but the benefits far outweigh the little niggles. If you have hard floors, particularly light coloured, the tyres will leave black marks (especially if they get wet, like in a bathroom), but they’re very easy to clean and I’ve had no lasting damage to any of my floors (tile, wood or carpet). It doesn’t handle lumps and bumps very well. But as long as you’re aware of your surroundings it’s not an issue.I was able to potter around the house, no problem at all and with a bit of manoeuvring managed to cook, clean and work comfortably. I would suggest reading some more of the reviews for hints and tips (such as the pin to stop the handlebar and front wheels from spinning around), but from my point of view, I would 100% recommend it. I rarely used my crutches while non weight bearing, and for that reason alone this was worth it. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time...if ever!

Best Knee Scooter!
What a game changer for mobility with an ankle/foot injury! The scooter is lightweight, sturdy, comfortable and easy to manoeuvre both in the house and in the stores. I added a foldable basket which is very handy. The only thing to watch for is when going over bumps as it can easily tip over if you are not careful and go slowly. Besides that I highly recommend purchasing this scooter for any ankle/foot injuries when you may have limitations for weight bearing.Honestly I have had so many people stop me and ask where I purchased it I should be on commission lol!
