Surprised at how well this thing worked on my kayak
So, I used the wrong chair on my kayak and it cracked through the plastic. I used this little doohickey to repair the cracks and it's now water tight again. Sure, I could have done a cleaner better job, but it took a while to repair and its good enough to not let water in. Small learning curve with using this thing, but the kit came with several sized tips and different colored plastic. The mesh worked perfectly. Took me probably 3 hours to do the repairs in the photo, but that was my first time using a plastic welder and there was a little learning curve as mentioned. Hopefully I won't need to repair this again, but if I did, I'd buy this kit again. Only down side is the trigger is REALLY annoying to hold down for that long.

This wasNot an expensive item. The device is veryFlimsy plastic. I had to replace the holding screw for the heads. It works well with the modification.

Inexpensive Way to Work Plastic Repairs
Despite what some videos may show, my limited experience with plastic welding is a possibly messy and tricky repair technique. This tool will let you do it, but it has no instructions to go along with the basic tool and variety of materials provided. I would also caution about the very minimal 'stand' provided for the hot iron (a stamped piece of thin metal you are supposed to fold into shape).I've been able to use it for a few items, although my lack of skill and finesse is evident. Overall I am happy with product for the price.

Works Great
This little tool helped me save my Kayaks. I had a couple of holes developing because the kids like to drag them along the ground. I was able to patch up the holes stronger them original. Very please. Glad I bought this.

Not 150w. Does heat up well and seems nice
The gun actually says 100w, despite listing say 150w. My watt meter says only 65ish w. It does get hot quickly and the kit is nice. I like that it has a trigger.I really want something 150w or more, so its going back.
