These ties are too slim and too cheap, stay away

It is a very narrow tie. I normally do not like thin ties. I like Calvin Klein normally. The picture is also deceiving in the ad. I decided to keep it, though. I think I spent only $21.

This Calvin Klein Grey Slim Tie has a slight pattern in the gray. It's beautiful and is the perfect background for a fabulous tie clip. This tie is versatile and looks great with a myriad of shirt colors. Tie is stitched well and had no loose strings. It's a beautiful tie.

This is a rather nice Calvin Klein tie, and yes, it is a 'slim' or narrow tie. Interestingly, it's made from recycled polyester and recycled acetate!!! The widest portion of the tie is 2 1/2" which looks fine on me but I've got a smaller chest size (38" - not a big guy) so I'm not sure if the narrow tie would look different on a bigger guy. Not sure how the proportions change in this situation. Also of note is that the blue tie that I ordered is definitely a 'navy' tie. In the product description, I thought the blue was lighter. Of course different computer monitors and screens make colors appear differently, so you can never be exactly sure of color hue or tint. I'm not at all disappointed with this!!! Recommended!

When I read that this tie was polyester I was a bit surprised. I think of Calvin Klein as a premium designer and thought this would be a silk tie. I have to admit though, it has a nice sheen and a silky feel. The width is perfect for modern formal occasions, while having a classic hip look. The blue is a deep rich navy. The length was perfect for me at 5'10" with broad shoulders and an average build. The tie of course has a tie stay/loop on the back of the main tie. I also like that recycled materials were used, and could be made into something of quality and style. If the price was lower than 70$ (day of review) a five star tie, but at that price point it is too high not to be real silk.
