Pleasant and easy drinking
A remarkably pleasant and easy drinking IPA that goes for the inexplicable 4.3% level yet again that doesn't seem to be a duty or legal limit so a little thin, I had no trouble finishing them off although it's a puzzle as to why anybody wout buy 12 X 440s when you could buy 24 X 330s that works out at almost half the price per L - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CNKWZVQM

A nice change
Picked up this box of BrewDog Wingman 12 cans, each 440ml in size. Plenty to go around! I usually stick with lagers, but felt like switching it up. That's when these caught my eye. They have a very unique design on the can and I instantly was interested. This is an IPA drink, and it has a 4.3% ABV, which is a bit lighter than my usual picks. But one thing that stood out when drinking these was the taste. It's got this fruity and citrusy flavour. I wasn't expecting it. The flavour totally caught me off-guard, but in a good way. These are quite expensive, you can definitely get much cheaper alcohol almost anywhere else, but for someone not usually into IPAs, I'd say give these a try.

Easy drinking IPA
This is a great tasting session IPA at 4.3%. Reminded me of Neck Oil which I often drink in bars 5where there are no more interesting craft beers. Easy drinking with some more complex fruity overtones. Funky can too and proudly vegan!

Session IPA with some Brewdog spark
I'm a massive fan of Brewdog, but not session IPA's. To date I've pretty much tried, and regularly drink their IPA's. That said I've always avoided the session products as I prefer stronger IPA's. This came along to review so I though I'd give it a go, tough job eh?In a nutshell versus dinking this or other session beers, I would recommend Wingman. For me, I enjoyed the citrus tones, and as described mellow tropical fruits, it's all very subtle, but the citrus came across as the stronger note versus tropical. It's certainly a drink I'd purchase for sessions when keeping the alcohol levels low.At this point this has caused me a dilemma, being an avid high % IPA fan, would I purchase on a regular basis? Perhaps not, but would it become a regular when I'm purchasing session IPA's, I'd say yes. It's certainly tasty enough to usurp some others on my shopping trips. Overall a really refreshing session IPA.5/5

A light, zesty IPA.
I have to confess that I'm not a huge fan of Brewdog as a company, but they admittedly do make some really nice beers. Is Wingman one of them? Well, if you like IPAs, then I'd say yes.I really love the label art for this beer. It's very cool, and a nice change from the primarily text based designs seen on other Brewdog beers. Reminds me of Jamie Hewlett's Tank Girl comic book art.Wingman is a very clear, blonde ale. Pours with a modest head that dissipates quite quickly, so it's not overly carbonated. Upon pouring, there's an immediate aroma of tropical and citrus fruits, common with IPAs made with Amarillo hops, which I assume Wingman is. That's confirmed by the taste. Heavy notes of grapefruit, peach, orange and passionfruit come through, and there's the trademark IPA sharp, zesty, acidic bitterness. It's a very light, quaffable ale.I have to admit that IPAs aren't my favourite style of beer, but as they go, Wingman is a decent one. I think it's definitely a summer ale. I can imagine it being quite refreshing served chilled on a warm day, and as it's only 4.3%, it's not going to hit too hard. If you're an IPA fan, then this one is well worth trying.

Hoppy but light, a bit too bitter for me
I do like a beer every now and then so was excited to try these. I've liked a few of the Brewdog variations but never tried this one.I like the fact it's only 4.3%, so it's a quiet evening kind of relaxing beer. It's a lot lighter than other Brew Dogs and yet it's still quite hoppy. To be honest, I didn't like it (sorry Bew Dog!) but my partner thought it was lovely. I thought it was too bitter at the start - this did change to a more citrus after taste which was lovely but I couldn't get past the initial bitterness properly to enjoy it.My partners happy he gets to drink them all though!

Everything you want from a session IPA
BrewDog WingMan is everything you want from a session IPA:- Distinctive flavour, but nothing too heavy- The taste is somewhat fruity, floral with a good hint of citrus- Moreish and very drinkable- Overall a refreshing beerGet this if you want something akin to a lager for an easy to drink, refreshing beer - don't expect a huge depth of flavour because that isn't really the point!

Very light drink, that hides the low ABV with hops
The very light colour of the beer is emblematic of the whole drink.Lighter pale ales can lean a bit towards lager; but this goes even further from more traditional ales, closer still towards a pilsner.Clean, not much in the way of body to it - in the main due to the lack of alcohol content, which makes it very mild. The only flavour in it comes from the hops - which is doing double duty.Up front is the bitterness, which is the most obvious quality of the beer. It's not as broad and heavy as the bitterness you'd get in a lager, much more tangy and forward.Behind this is the very fresh floral taste from the hops, which is pretty much the entirety of the beer's flavour. This tangy freshness makes the drink very refreshing (and ideal for a parched summer); but it is the drink's only trick. The low ABV makes its consistency a bit watery - the oiliness from the hops helps mask this considerably, but at 4.3% you're not getting a full-bodied cask ale pint's worth out of it.For people who want a very light ale (in texture, colour, flavour, and alcohol content) it's going to be great; but for people who want richer ales, it's only really going to be satisfying as one part of a broader selection.
