Propper Men's Battle Rip Bdu 4 Pocket Coat

Bought this nice-looking army jacket to wear as an oversized outfit, with plenty of room to move a round, so XL is the right size for this purpose.

Once again, great fit and roomy. I ordered at 2XL and its great summer time work shirt. That was the primary purpose I bought it for while doing landscaping. The long sleeves protect from the sun and brush. The ripstop material has shown no signs of wear so far, yet its light weight enough to wear in 90' degree temps, provided you are drinking water while you work.. I like the straight forward style and function, plus I added some pockets so I can wear it hiking and have it fit my needs. I have no doubt it will be a good garment for the winter with an added rain-shell when needed.

This is a very sturdy, well made men's BDU coat. But the XXL size was too large for me. I'm going to return it and try the XL.

Khaki ripstop makes an excellent summer weight travel jacket when the breeze is up or out on the beach at night. Coordinates with most clothing, light color reflects the sun, versatile sleeves rolled up or down. Plenty of storage in the pockets, too. Better looking than the iconic "safari" jacket of the ancient 1980s with fewer cues of that era, aka no ascot needed. Like the rare Vietnam patterns now Chinese made, or expensive travel jackets with poor workmanship, this top does the job well with little fuss. Great style without looking "tropical" as a giveaway to the locals. Makes a great cover garment if that is needed and doesn't signal "photographers vest," the BDU cut looks completely different in a monochrome color which is often unfamiliar to the public.

I got this because I always liked the pattern. This shirt seems nice and solid and the material is substantial. The sleeves roll up well and stay in place. The cut is roomy but not baggy. I washed it once in cold water and unintentionally put it in the dryer but it heald up. I'm now breaking it in. Comfortable enough to wear without an undershirt. I'm sure it will fade over time (as was the problem when the original was issued in Vietnam Nam) but I want to use it as a work shirt/ camping shirt. I would def buy this brand again.

OK, the quality is good, fit is good, and it has lots of pockets. Normally it would be a 4 star product, except that it is not a 'coat'. It is more of a heavy shirt, I'm not sure it even counts as a shirt-jack. If you want a well made shirt with lots of pockets similar to what you would find on a field coat, you will like it. If you are expecting a coat, or even a jacket, you will be disappointed because it is too light for that. Does make a great camping shirt, though, as the material seems durable, and the pockets hold a lot, with the bottom pockets being bellows style for even more capacity.

Very high quality material. It will last a long time.

Bought this for my husband for his bday and he loves it! It's now his favourite light coat not too heavy and keeps the wind out while walking. He also wears it for fishing
