I bought this gadget for my son who owns an old jalopy with an antique radio that has a cassette and CD players and AUX port -- no screen, no CarPlay, no Bluetooth, we're talking dark ages here. Replacing the head unit in this old car didn't make much sense, but adding wireless CarPlay for less than $130 was an interesting proposition.To my surprise... It's fantastic!First, the display: bright and crisp, the resolution and the wide format are perfect. The screen is wide and not tall, so it does not obstruct the view. The touch screen is responsive.And, Connectivity options are great, in and out: you can connect iPhones and Android phones wirelessly for CarPlay and Android Auto; and send audio out via AUX line (provided) or a built-in FM radio transmitter.There are built-in speakers.The back of the unit features a dashcam that automatically records the view from your windshield; you can also connect an optional backup camera.Connecting the iPhone was exactly as you would on a car with built-in Wireless CarPlay: pair with Bluetooth, tap "Use CarPlay" and you're all set, every time you start the car your phone will connect automatically without even having to take it out of your pocket.I can't praise this enough. Great screen, wonderful functionality, incredible price. Highly recommended.

Bought the thing in May 2024. It looked elegant and worked beautifully. Until one week later it suddenly clicked OFF and clicked ON five times one after another, then it stayed ON and worked OK. It worked fine for another two days, then suddenly clicked OFF/ON five times then it stayed OFF. I had to unplug the power cord and replugged then it worked fine.The next three days it worked OK but I decided to return it after reading other people reviews and found out a couple of people had same problem. One person was too late to return it and now he/she has to live with the uncertain/surprise dead/undead of the device.I usually don't return things, but sorry I had to this time.

Trivial to add Carplay to my old truck. That’s the only thing I want out of it. It works well, except sometimes it doesn’t connect to the phone and needs Bluetooth fiddling.The built in speaker is not loud enough for an old, loud diesel pickup truck, but the FM forwarding works.It seems to always draw power and my 12v port doesn’t turn off with the truck, and I seldom use this truck so I have to unplug it between uses to preserve my sad old batteries.

It's super clear and responsive, making it super convenient to use, especially for Google Maps or Spotify.Installation was surprisingly simple. I expected to need help, but it was pretty straightforward. The suction cup mount and brackets made it easy to install on either the dashboard or the windshield.The sound options are great. You can connect to the car's speakers through FM transmitter, AUX, or Bluetooth. I personally prefer the Bluetooth connection for its better sound quality.The HD rear-view camera with night vision has made parking and reversing way safer and easier.This stereo is perfect for anyone looking to add a modern touch to their car, especially if it's an older model. This stereo has definitely made my driving experience more enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

Screen size is big enough to show map and music at same time. In the beginning the system restarted few times and I ignored. But after 40-50 days it restarts frequently. The return window is closed and I can not return or replace. Bluetooth connection is easy, but I felt that there should be option to connect phone through cable directly. In one line: screen, speaker, connectivity,camera, installation are good but frequently restart is the main and major issue.

I am overjoyed with this SANPTENT Car Screen device! Owning a car from 10 year ago has its limitations, one of which is the absence of an infotainment system. This car stereo works wonders in integrating Android Auto and modernizing my driving experience. In just a few minutes, I was able to set it up, connect my phone, enable Bluetooth audio to my car stereo, and also test the DVR features. And the other surprise to me is the sound quality! Everything functioned perfectly, and now I can even get rid of my original radio, as this device does it all!

I’ve had this for a week now and have grown frustrated with the problems.First, there is a blue bar to the left of the menu when using Apple car play. This isn’t in any of the pictures. I’ve tried everything and can’t get it off. It really looks stupid showing two times beside each other and they are often different.Second problem, the time randomly changes. The am/pm doesn’t stay set. Today it was good most of the day but around 8 pm it changed to 8 am tomorrow. I’ve set this many times and even tried 24 hour times but it constantly changes.Third problem, it randomly loses power. Tonight while driving home and using it for a map it power cycled, eight times in 30 minutes. It lost power twice yesterday while I was on a call.I will be returning this to Amazon.

Typical Amazon junk that does not work. Car Play disconnects every 15-20 minutes and rarely auto-connects when the car is started as it should. I tried to email the seller for support but the email in the documentation is invalid.
