The laptop sleeve is secure, will easily fit my 13" Macbook, looks like it will take a 15" laptop. Straps are cushioned, high quality, strong chest strap, strong waist strap. Roll down with an over-the-flap clip when you have it on your back, and waterproof, so no need for a backpack cover. Stitching is sturdy. Rectangular in shape (at the bottom), not round, about 6" x 15" on the bottom, and 23" or so tall (when folded down); open height is about 28-30".
