MYLEK Premium Aluminium Electric Panel Heater with Timer, Thermostat & Remote Control - Wall Mounted/Freestanding Slim White Panel Heater (1200W)

Bought this heater for a garage conversion (small study), had originally been advised to look at oil radiators but after researching decided to go for the Mylek heater. The heater can be floor standing or wall mounted, looks stylish and modern and doesn't take up more space. Within minutes of switching the heater on, the room soon begins to feel warm, and the digital thermostat keeps the temperature at a comfortable level. When the desired temperature is reached the radiator switches off (helps with electric costs), the aluminum body continues to radiate heat for sometime after. Heater is radiated front and back and convection heat out of the top which soon warms up the room. The remote control is useful for switching / changing settings without having to use the panel on the heater. The open window function is great, if one of the children leaves the door open or window, the radiator switches off until the temperature stabilizers which is a useful feature for saving money. Great unit, good value as purchased with money off. Really pleased with purchase and would definitely recommend, has safety features to prevent overheating and the anti frost option is good as takes the chill of the room. Flexible timer but not used as not always in the room. I opted for the 1.2kw version although could have probably got away with the 900w version. There are cheaper units which will do the same job, but this is really good quality and well made.

Very good looking heater with a very good heat output I found the set up quite difficult as I could not get repetitive switch ons. I will be ringing for advice tomorrow as I have probably mis read an instruction .When we use our TV remote it displays on our heater display, have overcome this by place 4 layers of aluminium foil over the remote control sensor. as I don't intend to use the remote

This heater looks high quality and appears to be well made. The 900 Watt version isn't too power hungry and provides a good amount of heat output. This is being used as an additional heater in a large living room to supplement the inadequate central heating system. Setting the program timer isn't much fun, but not too difficult. Nice LCD display with room temperature display. I would buy this again if I needed another heater elsewhere.

The one of the two heating elements (bottom one) was cracked in the middle which means over time the heater will start clicking and this will gradually get louder as the metal twists with every heating cycle. In other words goodbye overnight heating unless you're wearing earplugs. One of the two plastic legs was a perfect fit; the other - not so much. Provided replacement item had a faulty remote, a cracked heating element again (the top one this time). All in all, build quality isn't great. Otherwise, it's a great convection heater that functions like a radiator too. It warms up the room quickly and radiates heat after it's turned off. The thermometer's accurate. The programming controls are a bit iffy but better than other heaters in the same price range. The night option (moon symbol) has a one degree deviation so if for example it is set to 18.5 degrees, it will switch on when the temp drops to 17.5 and turn off when it reaches 18.

I bought this to place in an unheated hall and stairwell to take out the chill in the heart of the house and the area is now super toasty. I was going to put it on the wall but so far have left it freestanding, may put it up later but it looks pretty straightforward to do. The timer is a little complex looking but I am currently using it in manual mode so can't comment on setting up the timed feature, but as far as the remote controller goes, it is very responsive and super easy to use, also very welcome as we can alter settings without bending over.The unit is very light and although there are cheaper makes on Amazon, I believe it is worth paying a little extra for a quality device that could potentially be dangerous as a lot of electricity is carried through it, and I had read about cheaper options blowing fuses and overheating etc. Overall very happy with this and will be buying a larger version for the log cabin in the garden.

Was fine whilst it worked but for no reason stopped working after 4 years of minimal use
