Per B&S it's the right replacement, but it doesn't fit.
Per B&S it's the right part, it did come in a B&S box so assume it's OEM, but it does not fit. Lid is slightly shorter than the original, ratchet pawns get caught on the top of the cup so the cord does not retract. Still without a running mower.

Exact replacement
OEM replacement. Should last as long as the original. Tried two other off brands and they did not make it through one season. 10.5 horse is hard on these. Go with Briggs.

Not that great
The part seemed to be an exact fit. The part was delivered fast. The negative is the plastic pawls have come out when starting and we have had to remove the recoil and reinstall the plastic pawls in order to use the recoil. Not exactly very efficient when trying to get work accomplished.
