Would highly recommended this lube. Our freezer drawer kept freezing up and we wouldn't be able to open the draw. This has been a life saver! No more cussing out my freezer!

Great ,fantastic,wonderful stuff!!!
I got this for working on my outdoor spigots which I have yet to do. I do however have a huge kitchen window that opens sideways on a metal track. I'm really short and old and can barely reach the window across the countertop and it was so difficult to push. I was worried what I'd do in a few years when I'm even older. I tried putting a small glob of this on the track and can open and shut the window with a slight finger push. I have to be careful not to slam it shut since it now slides so easily. Thanks for a terrific product. Used it on an upstairs window too. Love this stuff. I'm sure I'll find a zillion uses around this old farm.

If you need it, you know it
This is one of those items that you know when you need it. If you're looking for it, then you've found it. It's just silicone-based grease, useful for sealing up threading on equipment that comes into contact with food and foodstuffs. It's not edible, but it's also non-toxic.So far I've used this on my hummingbird feeders of all things. They have a rubber gasket which is supposed to seal them so they don't leak, but the parts don't thread together very tightly, so they were leaking sticky nectar all over my yard and attractive ants and wasps. A bit of this on the gasket put a stop to the leaking. This quantity is a bit overkill for this sort of occasional use, but it lasts forever and I have no doubt I will need it for other applications. We have a whole house water filter that I am preparing to install soon, and I'm sure it will come in handy there as well. It's not a replacement for teflon tape; this is used for applications where the tape won't work well. For two good-sized tubes, the price is very good. It has no odor or color, and it has a decent thickness. I can't really think of anything negative to report about it.

Nice clean clear grease
I have to keep multiple O-rings lubricated, and periodically grease the tracks on my sliding glass door. I had been using a thick black grease that I would always get on my fingers, and if I touched my clothes, it would leave a bad black stain. I decided to try this grease since it was made for food processing machines. It is so much nicer using a clear grease instead of a black grease and it seems to work well to lubricate O-rings. However, it doesn't seem to last as long on my sliding glass door tracks as the black grease that I had been using. I am happy with that trade-off though, and prefer this clear grease to anything that I have used before.

Used to regrease KitchenAid Tilt Head Mixer
My 15 year old KitchenAid Tilt Head Mixer was acting up, and I found a YouTube video recommending regreasing the internal gears. This food grade grease worked well, and the tube was plenty to get the job done. Mixer is working well again! Only complaint is that at times the grease came out of the tube in a thin stream. If I hadn't been all messy from disassembling the mixer, I probably could have fixed the problem easier. But overall very happy with this and it did what I needed.

A lot for the money
I have some Danco silicone grease I use for o-rings in plumbing that runs about $4.50 for 1/2 ounce, so 4 ounces of that would run about $36. 4 ounces of this grease is $9.50 in the 2-pack, so that's a lot better price. It doesn't go up to as high of a temp as the Danco (0 to 400F), this stuff is good from -25 to 130C (-13 to 266F), but that should be fine for my kitchen appliances. And it's food safe, that's the main thing I needed.

Lube up your water filter housing!
I have one of those big blue water filters in the basement. Occasionally I remember to replace that filter but I almost always forget to grease up the O-ring in there. Fortunately, now that I have this stuff, my job has been much easier. Last time I didn't apply any new grease which makes it super hard to open back up the next time and it probably jeopardizes the quality of the seal. Anyhow, this is probably great for all kinds of stuff but for me, I use it to lube up the water filter housing o-ring to extend the longevity of the threads and to save me from having to work way too hard to open it back up next time. Good stuff for that. I'm no lubricant expert but it sure feels mighty lubey to me. Price was on par with what I expect so, all things being equal, it seems like a good deal for the amount I use it.

Not just for food equipment
Even though this food grade grease is meant for food equipment, it works great on many other things. I use it to lube the threads and o-rings on aluminum flashlights, on my bicycles and to lubricate pivot cups on skateboard trucks. It’s great because it will not attack the o-rings or plastic and destroy it like many petroleum greases will. 5 star silicone grease.
