FANTASTIC MYSTERY NOVEL
Fourteen years ago, Randolph and Irene Palmer were murdered in their Arden Hills home. All while their three daughters were asleep in the backyard in their tree house. The police were never able to find who murdered them, but a large amount of suspicion was placed on the Palmer’s middle daughter, Emma. The other sisters, Juliette and Daphne were questioned and let go, because the police believed they had nothing to do with the murders. Now Emma is married and living a beautiful life with her husband Nathan. Emma has never really told Nathan the entirety of her past. When Emma comes home one afternoon and finds Nathan sitting in the kitchen, she is puzzled. Nathan explains that he has lost his job and the accepted offer on their dream home has fallen through. Emma has her own shocking news as well…she’s pregnant.Since the sisters still own the Arden Hills home, Nathan suggests that they move in there and fix up the house to sell. With no other options, Emma agrees to the plan. Emma can’t help but wonder what really happened the night of her parents murder. Did she do the right thing by protecting her sisters? Or did she shield a killer? After all, if she didn’t do it, who did?Reluctantly returning to her home town, Emma is still plagued by all the rumors all over again. Her sisters find out that she is back in the family home, and it is making them nervous of what Emma and Nathan might find. What if they uncover some of the families darkest secrets. No One Can Know is another twisty, thriller that will keep you guessing until the last page. I really enjoyed the pacing of the book and found it to be very entertaining. This is my third read by the author and I can't wait to read more of her work in the future!I have also read Kate Alice Marshall’s What Lies in the Woods and Our Last Echoes. Both were 4 star reads for me.

Great mystery
Read this one in 24 hrs. I love a good book about secrets, murder and family. This has all that and a bit more. I had figured out what had probably happened half way through the book, but it still left some twist and turns for me to explore. This was the first book I had read from the author, but definitely not the last.

No One Can Know by Kate Alice Marshall 4/5 ⭐️
No One Can Knowby Kate Alice Marshall4/5 ⭐️Emma has put her past behind her. She does not like to think about what happened 14 years ago. She hasn’t even talked to her sisters about it. She definitely hasn’t told her husband, Nathan, how she found her parents murdered in their home. So when Nathan loses his job and Emma discovers she is pregnant, the truth must be revealed. With funds dwindling and nowhere to live, the couple returns to the residence. By coming home, Emma knows secrets and accusations will surface. She must face her sisters and the town that thought she could be the killer.Something does not seem right as Emma settles into the house and memories return to her. Danger lingers in the air as Emma is determined to solve the case of her parent’s murders once and for all.No One Can Know hooked me from the beginning. The unreliable characters and dual timelines created a zig-zag suspense. This book is very fast-paced and entertaining. Although about 3/4 of the way into the book, the family drama dominates the mystery. The ending wrapped up 99% of the mystery, leaving me with some questions. If you are looking for a twisty thriller with questionable characters, this book is for you.
