I really love these things. As some reviewers have noted the seal can become imperfect. But there is an easy fix for that. The problem can be corrected by wetting the top down where all the sealing gaskets are located.***I do not actuate the button to make sure no water gets into the mechanism***Then I thoroughly dry with a paper towel and then I might let it sit for about an hour just to make sure it also air dries completely. When I do these steps it can sit untouched for 2 weeks without losing any of the vacuum, keeping my coffee nice and fresh.They are well made and look fantastic on my counter by the coffee bar.I am very happy with the purchase.

The canister is nice looking, does the job of removing air and keeping beans fresh. But the description specifically states it holds 2lbs of beans. IT DEFINITELY ONLY HOLDS 1 LB of beans.

The jar was smaller than expected. But they are high quality and look great on the counter. The vacuum seal works well and is great for keeping coffee beans fresh. The grey tint on the glass adds a touch elegance. Very satisfied.

I store my expensive cocoa powder in these jars. The vacuum seal doesn't hold over time, but the lid fits securely and the containers keep the cocoa fresh much better than the plastic or cardboard containers that cocoa is sold in.

I bought a pair of these jars and they would not seal. I sent them back and got a second pair. One worked perfectly, the second would only hold a seal for a few days. After a week, they both refused to hold a seal. Very nice jars if you don't need a seal.

Some folks just have trouble with twisty things, and think something is wrong with the product, but Ifind these 1/2 lb vacuum jars are super. They look good too. The seal is tight and goes on feeling stiff,but by pushing down firmly till it seats on the gasket will insure you can vac out the air. Pressing a fewtime down on the large center button sucks out the air, and pushing down on the small button lets airin when you are ready to open. Remember, fresh beans gas-off a great deal and that makes you think thevac was leaking, but it was just the expansion of bean gas that filled the jar, not air in through the lid.I think these are truly worth it, so I think you should get them.

I ended up getting the 2 pack of 16oz jars as the larger one didn't fit where I needed it and they work well both jars together hold a 12oz bag of coffee beans. I haven't had any issues with sealing like others have said so they work good there. I will say this jar is 16oz of liquid or small grain items like sugar my roommate had been confused why a 12oz bag of beans wouldn't fit in just 1 16oz jar and this is due to the beans leaving alot of dead space that can't be filled meaning you will usually need roughly double the space for it. I believe the larger jar would fit a 12oz bag but the shelf i put my beans on is just to short. The image I added is just half a 12oz bag

This is an attractive jar and holds enough beans for my use. However, I've discovered that while I can pump the air out of the chamber and it will maintain a vacuum for a day or two, the air seems to slowly leak out over time. This makes me wonder how well it truly keeps the beans' freshness over time.Unfortunately, it took longer than the return window for me to discover this defect, so all I can do is warn you to look for another storage solution instead.

I purchased this product to store my coffee bean to help preserve the freshness only to be let down at the fact that is doesn’t stay sealed - I’ll seal it after making a coffee and it unseals - was really hoping this product would be phenomenal considering the price

Spent the last 5 minutes trying to repeatedly push down the vacuum button and it still hasn’t gone down - not sure if the product I received was faulty
