There is a reason this kit is age 12 and older. There are a lot of pieces and it's a challenge to build. That being said, it's hours of fun if you enjoy building, and the finished result is as pictured. If you're familiar with this type of kit and the sometimes confusing instructions, you shouldn't have a problem. Just take your time and have some patience.

This is a wonderful building block set for Ghibli fans - it is a nice scale recreation of the famous bath house from their most famous movie. In terms of accuracy it's OK - but recreating the wonderful level of detail in a Miyazaki movie would be impossible in a simple puzzle - however it's close enough. The build process was not too difficult - but is time consuming. I would recommend attempting it over multiple sessions rather than all at once. It comes in multiple wrapped packages which helps to pace the build. Overall a fun build for Ghibli enthusiasts.

They are excited to see the finished piece. Their initial thoughts are, "so far it's not overwhelmingly difficult but the instructions are vague and it's hard to tell what colors the pieces are."Given everyone has a different experience with instructions, I'm comfortable in assuming this is the user experience of someone who is challenged by written instructions and doesn't seem to be the general consensus.As far as the color goes, it's more likely the room lighting is bad and not the color of the pieces.They are extremely impressed with the organization of the sections into individual packets. This reduces the project into manageable tasks to help fight sensory overload and overwhelm.For the price point, this set is fantastic.

I have never seen Spirited Away, but I still enjoyed constructing this set. The details, and inventive use of different bricks, created an enjoyable construction experience.The set uses many small pieces, when a larger brick would likely work better for stability. The endings of many bricks line up, rather than staggering bricks to help them hold together. It makes me feel like the manufacturer just wanted a set with a higher number of pieces...I do have to complain about these small tubes that you have to fit onto the little sticks on the underside of the bricks. They are a complete pain to assemble! I would often stick them inside the pieces that is meant to attach them as they are small and difficult to handle and push into place.The manufacturer went to the next level with their brick bag organization! Most of the time, you get numbered bag which follow the instructions. This company has several small bags for each section, but they combine them together in a larger bag, so you don't have to sift though tons of bags to find the right ones! This was much appreciated, as this is a very large project.

My 8 1/2 year old son is a absolute building block fanatic. The older he gets the more difficult it is to fine something challenging for him. He loooves watching these movies with his papaw so it was really the perfect find for him. He has been able to stretch this project out over quite a few weeks. He struggles with some parts as the instructions are a little vague but we've been able to help through those parts and get him going on his own again.

This block set is really nice, and is a nice replica from the Spirited Away anime movie. A great gift idea for fans of Japanese Anime, especially the Spirited Away movie.

This set features the building we're all familiar with, and the end result is pretty cool for display, assuming you don't try to handle it too much at that point. Several connections are held together by single columns or connection points, and despite being regular size pieces (not mini...phew!), there is still a slightly lower quality feel in the construction. That being said, you may not fare much better for the price, and again, the end result is pretty cool all the same.

OK, if you're looking at this product, you probably know it's taken from a certain blockbuster anime movie. It's a bit of a crude rendering but, might be satisfying to some. There are tons and tons of parts so be prepared to spend tons of time building it. Though I expect you can guess why the one star rating as this is a completely "generic" third-party version unrelated to the blocks and movie.

Half of the product is not labelled and product was obviously used before purchase definitely won’t be spending $90 on a offbrand Lego set next time. Amazon box was completely fine and completely intact and not damaged at all.
