If you're looking for a blackout curtain for your kitchen, this is it. My kitchen window gets a lot of sunlight in the afternoon, and the blinds were not filtering out the heat and light very well. In the interest of lowering our electricity bill, I bought this curtain. This blocks the sunlight completely. I checked the temperature before and after the curtain installation, and it definitely reduced the temperature by at least 5 degrees. Bonus that it is a flame retardant material so I feel comfortable using it in the kitchen. I highly recommend it.
