Handwrite to Text funktioniert gar nicht

Outer beauty hides a sluggish heart
Update. Sept 2023. (Original review remains below).Changed from three to five stars based on how far the customer services have gone to help resolve the issues I identified in my review. There's an update to fix the library not recognising files in the BOOK folder and fast draining battery. The problem with the case was quickly identified and a replacement is now in the post. This is a company who cares, I've had many messages from them asking for photos and videos of the issues and they used these to find solutions and develop their products. Now the problems are being addressed this S6 tab holds a lot worth buying it for at a very competitive price. This is a robust, well made product. From the moment you open the box and unpack each of the elements you experience a sense of pride of manufacture and a desire to impress. It's very tactile and you just want to hold and interact with it. And then you do.....Battery power drops from this quicker than water from a bucket with a hole, but that's okay, all tabs do that. Except the big selling point of eInk displays is the legendary battery life. The buttons on the case don't work, you need to really press hard to get the down page to work (I've never got the top page button to do anything) and hand gestures on the screen are hit and miss at best, reading ePub files is very frustrating because of this. The stylus is Good amongst pens, it has a fine nib, three buttons and a Lazer pointer....except it's too thick to hold comfortably, the buttons can be pressed accidentally and it's very top heavy so it doesn't fit well in a writing grip. And then there's the big negative. Handwriting recognition is very poor in the notes pages. It takes ages for the AI to convert even a few handwritten lines into text but only at 70% accuracy at best. T converts a's into o's on every occasion. It skips words like 'if' and 'it' or just puts them as a capital I. As a notebook it's very hard to recommend (other stylus work which makes it easier) yet the software holds it back so, so much. As a eReader it's frustratingly slow, the internal book merge/library doesn't recognise any files (and messages pop up saying it's stopped working) so finding books in the storage app is the only way to open a new book (once reading starts it can be seen in the library app) but you can't turn to the next page with any regularity.Yet it could be fantastic if they send updates for the apps as the external product is fantastic, well made (out of good materials) and very tactile. It's far nicer to hold than many other tablets, light weight, the perfect size for practical use and reading books.....but right now it's too sluggish to be of any real practicality.

A good little notetaker buried under a lack of finesse.
When I first started using product I was somewhat disappointed.-The screen ghosted a lot.-The stylus didn't contact the screen appropriately.-The main notetaking app, was missing key functionalities like a Landscape mode, a resize tool. But after a few days it grew on me.-After updating the firmware it the ghosting problem was resolved.-After calibrating the stylus properly, notetaking became a much more natural experience.-After switching to the 'meeting record' app I was able to do more such as use 'landscape mode' and move and shrink selections. That said there are still some issue-The lack of endless scrolling in both notetaking apps is a complete pain.-The inclusion of the 'navigation ball adds nothing.-The poor translation, means that a lots of text is in Chinese. It's good for the money once you experiment and learn the device many quirks. but It could've been phenomenal if the manufacturers had focused on user experience a little more.
