Horizontal langstroth beehive
A few days ago I noticed wax moth in my hive. So I decided to install this on my new hive. Didn’t want to completely close it off as bees need to keep the hive at 95 degrees for the honey and larvae. This for the size of it fits the opening well! The value of it was or is a great price! Plus it works very well with my hive!

They don’t rust
My existing mouse guards rusted, and I thought I’d try these as an alternative. However, the awful color of the plastic is really not any better looking. The reducer fit my 10 frame hives ok, but it has to sit between the side rails of the base board so it can’t open completely, or even close really. The plastic is unlikely to last more than a year or two, but these do not really cost much to replace. I would probably get them again if they were white.

hive entrance reducer
does not line up with bottom board entrance holes and you have to drill or nail holes into hive which can provoke bees into aggressive behavior.

Mouse guards of genius!!!
Great entrance reducing noise guards! I can even close my hive during a robbing situation. I have one on every hive!
