I'm giving 5 stars with a few exceptions. People say it doesn't come with instructions, this is true. It comes with a drilling template. No template is needed if installing on a Jeep wrangler jl (said years). The paper should have had the YouTube link. The YouTube video explains everything. There's a few areas that should have been addressed. It comes with two packets of hardware, one is for the Wrangler, the other I don't know. Also it wasn't really explained about the mounting bolts & spacers (different lengths). But you can figure it out if you have half a noodle. Also the presenter said not to over tighten the lower hinge bolts. The spacers keep you from over tightening. All in all, follow the YouTube video & shazam, you're there.

Like to design. Received the package did not come with instructions or installation link. The Amazon item does have installation images but not much detail info and it is for Jeep JK without subwoofer. The table had to be shift to the right about couple inches and add couple spacers on the left side behind the supporting bar. it comes with six M6 stainless steel screws and nuts. Only 5 of 6 were used. For the first timer, it will probably take extra time, for example, make sure where to drill the holes and installation will be faster with rivet nut tool. Compared to the other brand name and similar items, this is simple and good tailgate and camping occasionally.

No instructions! Watched a YouTube video and my jeep doesn’t match the video. I have a 2014 Saharah and it has drilling into a tailgate panel and my jeep doesn’t have a tailgate panel. I would need to jimmy rig it to be put on my tailgate. Sits in my storage until I figure out how to jimmy rig it. It’s durable, looks great on the floor but it is getting a one star for no instructions and not compatible with my jeep.

Other reviews have said it was a problem that it didn’t have instructions. It is so simple to figure out. I’m not sure why they had an issue. It is very sturdy well designed and well built at half the price of all the other Overland tailgate tables I am really pleased!

Installed on a 2010 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Pretty solid construction and good looking. Light weight but sturdy when in use. The missing instructions is not an issue at all. You should be at least average with hand tools to install this table. I didn’t use the one page provided cut outs, put it together using the advertised picture and then line it up where you want it on your tailgate. Helps to have someone hold it while you mark your holes. Drill one at a time and dry fit it as you go. The only thing difficult is the Nutserts you will need to install. I purchase a Nutsert tool on Amazon. If you still need instructions go to Quadratec on line and look up Tailgate tables and open the Rough Country table PDF instructions, this is just like it. I do recommend this table.

Overall solid construction. I would give the shelf four stars however why they refuse to give us instructions on how to install it is beyond me. For that I give them one star. That said if you take some time to sit and think about it, the installation goes pretty smooth. First, you must take off the plastic cover on the rear tailgate. Once you flip it over, you will see the two upper holes are easily identified by the indentations. Simply drill those two out. The lower holes are marked by a small debit on the backside where you should drill those holes. Everything should lineup perfectly once that’s done. I simply put the spacers in the holes after I drilled them. It’s important to note that the shorter spacers go on the top and the longer spacers go on the bottom. Simply snapped the plastic cover back on and use the appropriate length bolts through your spacers and everything should go fairly smoothly. From that point on all you have to do is attach the shelf unit and the cables. Also note that the bottom right corner of the shelf. There is a bolt that needs to be removed to allow you to put the new bolt through the spacer. Good luck with your installation.

There are a number of nuts, bolts and washers left over. On my 2015 JK I used the wing nuts and slid them into existing slots on the tailgate. Used two on top and one on bottom. Worked like a charm. Took about 20 minutes to install. I used a Dremel tool to cut around the nuts on the bottom of the plastic and put it back on. Nice product. Lack of instructions was frustrating.

Almost 1 year i am currently using this, all good.
