Good Pocket Notebook
Bought this A6 to write some small poetry. The product came in pristine conditions, really like the portability aspect of it, it can literally fit in my pockets. I would rather use a ballpoint for this one.

Outstanding journal
Love, love, love my Leuchtturm journals! Indexed, page numbers and lays flat!

Excellent binding will last in pocket for along time
This little notebook is oddly shaped, but if you can get past that you'll like it. My main concern is the shape being 3.5"x6". Its a great notebook dont get me wrong and i like it but that extra half an inch just annoys me. Being softbound it only has 123 pages i think and since its softbound the paper quality is worse than the hardcover. Still a very lovely notebook and worthy to be in my collection of notebooks, but that's just it it feels like a novelty purchase. It's still very usable and very sturdy. I like this notebook because it's fountain pen friendly to some degree, but other mediums, like the zebra mildliners bleed through. Use for your collection, but that's all i would use it for.

High quality notebook.
Four stars because I bought it as a bullet journal. It does have numbered pages, a table of contents, and light-grey squares that are subtle so they don't obscure the text. That said, Leuchtturm (and other brands offering the features I've just described) doesn't have a size in between the A6 and the A5.

The perfect notebook
I love this notebook! It has 411 pages, which is just the right size and will last a long time. It handles fountain pen ink really well and is a joy to use. I might even get a second one in the future. I highly recommend it!

Journaling adventure begins
The LEUCHTTURM1917 Notebook 411 Medium A5 is what I’d call Teutonic precision in notebook form—organized, deliberate, and built with purpose. It carries a premium price, but you can see where that money goes once you start using it. I journal a lot—probably more than I should—and this notebook has quickly found a place in my rotation. Right now, it serves as the dedicated journal for my Dungeons & Dragons campaign that’s been running for over three years. With 411 numbered pages, it’s built for long-term use without feeling like you’ll run out anytime soon. I didn’t expect to like the dotted format as much as I do, but it’s proven incredibly versatile. It strikes a balance between structure and freedom, and it’s especially useful for map sketching—something of a time-honored tradition in D&D. It actually reminds me of using Rite in the Rain notebooks during my time in the military, where that kind of layout really shines. There is some noticeable ghosting due to the paper thickness, depending on the pen you use. It’s not a dealbreaker—I’ve worked with worse—but it is something to be aware of. If that’s a concern, a thicker paper option might be worth looking into. Now, the real question is durability. I’ve got journals going back nearly 25 years. Most didn’t survive intact—spines cracked, glue exposed, pages separating. Even the old green government notebooks I trusted are in varying states, from holding together to falling apart. That’s the standard I measure against. So the question is: will this Leuchtturm1917 hold up into my old age? That remains to be seen—but it feels like it might. The binding is solid, and it’s clearly designed for long-term use. Time will be the real test. To conclude, I’ve been journaling since around 1997, starting with short fiction inspired by games like Diablo and Fallout—two titles that shaped a lot of how I think and create. Over the years, journaling has been a constant. That said, I’ve probably learned more about notebooks, formats, and what actually works in the last three years than I did in the previous thirty. It’s been an evolving process. Like any long-term craft, it’s a journey that never really ends. This notebook is simply the next step—and one I’m interested to see stand the test of time.

The quality matches the price
This is no Moleskine clone, paper is much better quality, two bookmark ribbons, index pages, everything here justifies the price and make almost equally-expensive Moleskines look like a ripoff. The thick 411 pages format is wonderful for not worrying about a new journal for quite some time.

Fantastic Purchase
I would agree with most of the reviewers, this is a great notebook. I use it for everything, I have recently been renovating a historic home and drawing out floorplans in this is great. I love the date and table of contents and the perforated pages in the back. I bought two for myself but gave my wife one to use as a food journal. That is the great thing about the squared pages, you can use them for sketches and text. I am more than half way through the first book and looking to buy another, I am considering buying the soft covered version of this one because I keep it in my back pocket most days and it takes a while for the hard covered ones to flex enough to not slide out of your pocket when you sit on a hard surface, so buyer beware about that. The price is great, better than moleskin, much more durable and better features overall. I don't worry about the coated pages, I mostly use a mechanical pencil because I am sketching floor plans anyway.

Super
Ich bin sehr zufrieden, aber nächstes Mal hole ich eine mit weniger Blättern :) wenn man es fürs Journaling benutzt bzw Junkjournaling, dann wird das Notizbuch schon sehr sehr dick…

Good
Best journal i have ever used. The paper feels premium. Fountain pen with noodlers black ink dose not bleed through and the dotted grid makes it easy to go over lines but still have a margin rule when needed
