Perfect Fit!!
This motor was so easy to install. It immediately worked, quiet & smooth.. I'm so happy.. Had only had this exhaust fan for 2 years & it cost a small fortune. Couldn't be more pleased.. Would recommend..

Fit perfectly into my existing fan. Installed in minutes.
I'd been living with a VERY noisy fan for years. What an improvement! Now it's quiet and moves a lot of air. I should have installed this replacement a long time ago. Not cheap but well worth the investment.

Works / fits perfectly, but install is complicated
I initially tried to just replace the motor which proved unworkable because it is essentially impossible to separate the fan rotor assembly from the electric motor drive shaft without special tools (a super small Allen wrench that can be used at tight angles) so I would recommend anyone with a burnt-out motor to just go this route and replace the aluminum fan rotor as well noting that the original will undoubtedly be pitted and corroded anyway. Having done that the repair was fairly straightforward but definitely not something you would want to DIY without a fair amount of experience. In the first place no diagram or instructions are provided, just the part so you will need to know what you are doing and label the wires when removing the old unit. Power disconnection is very straightforward; simply pull the vent cover and unplug the wire harness from the socket inside the unit and replug last thing before testing and putting the cover back, so no safety issues there. Also be sure to save all of the screws from the original unit because none are provided and you will have to reuse them. Finally, the motor does not have the correct connector on the end of the positive motor wire (some kind of pin connector not applicable to this unit versus the loop that should be there as on the negative) such that I had to cut it off, strip the wire and splice one of the connectors from the old motor to make it work. Fortunately I had the tools and parts to do this on hand but it added an unnecessary step and time and would have necessitated return of the item or a trip to the hardware store if I didn't. Once I finally got the motor in it works very well; I think it is slightly less powerful but it is much quieter than the original. Note I have bought this item twice in the past two months to do both of the bathrooms that have the same Nutone unit with pretty much the same experience. As others have remarked, done properly and carefully it should take about an hour.

Worked on my 1960s-era fan.
I have a 1960 built house with a 9093H that appears to be original to the house. The fan motor burnt out and I figured that was that. The motor had a "Jakel" logo on it and I couldn't find a comparable replacement from the OEM. I was skeptical this would work but figured it was worth the risk since I like the vintage look of the old one and a whole replacement fan would cost $200. This worked like a charm! The holes for the sheet metal screws lined right up and wiring was simple--strip a couple wiring and tie them with a wire nut. Between removing the existing unit off the ceiling, taking the old motor out, putting this in, and putting it back in the ceiling, it was about an hour of labor total.I'm VERY PLEASED!

replacement fan motor is not thw same quality as original
Installed under the impression this was a quality replacement OEM motor. This is an expensive motor, that I thought would be the same quality as the original which it is not. This lasted for a couple months and began to became noisey and has become louder with time. I would not purchase again or invest the effort to install. Looking for a better quality (quiet) unit.

OK
The first unit purchased was un-usably out of alignment; so it was returned and i ordered another, which was less out of alignment, and with some physical tweaking was usable.
