Setting these up was a breeze. I just placed them near potential leak sources like under sinks and around the water heater. No tools required. Very functional little gadgets. The 100dB alarm is loud. During testing, it was definitely enough to hear from another room, which is exactly what I was looking for. If a leak happens while I'm asleep or not near the area, I know I’ll still hear it. These sensors are small and don’t take up much space, making them easy to tuck into tight corners without being in the way. I've placed them in different spots—kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and basement—and they perform well on all types of surfaces, from tile to concrete. It’s also good to know they can detect small drips, not just major floods. Batteries are also included which is great. Overall, for the price, these water leak detectors are a solid investment for anyone wanting an affordable, no-frills solution for water leaks. They provide a loud, reliable alert, and they’re easy to use.

Alarm loudness is sufficient, well constructed, no false alarms so far, reasonably priced.

This is simple yet easy to use water leak detectors. It's small in size but with very loud alarm. I love that these use 2 AAA batteries rather than 9V battery like my old water leak detector, which was very difficult to install the battery. 2 AAA batteries are much easier to install and also readily available at home compared to 9V batteries. BTW, I was very glad to see that brand new batteries were also included with these detectors. These have 4 water sensors on the bottom and 1 sensor on top. I also love that it has large TEST button to test the unit and it can be used to turn off the alarm in the event when it goes off due to water detection. The best way to use these detectors is to place them on top of a paper towel so that if there's any water leak near by then it will get absorbed by the paper towel then immediately touch one of four sensors on the bottom to sound the alarm. I have placed these under the sinks and behind the toilet tanks so I will know immediately if there's any sort of water leak, which isn't something that I check often. Always test it before using it to confirm that it's working and I also appreciate that it has low battery alert so I don't have to second guess and check the batteries every few months. Highly recommend these water leak detectors. It will pay for itself by just alerting you with water leak once. Better safe than sorry... 5 out of 5 stars!

Alarm seems to work well but I’m not sure that it would be loud enough for many situations. It seems okay for my use but volume is something to be aware of if you intend to use the alarm in a location not especially near your common or central location.

Initial test is super loud! These seem great.

Alerts you when the area even gets slightly damp and it has saved me from under sink leaks. Also put in sink cabinets, behind your refrigerator water line, in back of toilets, all potential disaster areas.

These are well worth the investment. They're "screamers" with two metal prongs on the bottom that act like an on-switch if water hits them. Of course, this would happen if there were a leak. The idea is that a leak (like washer hose or under a sink, near a basement floor drain, etc.) will give you a fair chance at finding out about it and preventing major damage.

The device works. 5 devices allows distribution to two locations. The sensors pick up detection from ground level to detect spreading water, and from above for detecting falling water.
